Things I Have Been Enjoying this March

There are some things I have been enjoying this March, I’d like to share with you.

Spring Time!

Although my favorite season is Fall, Spring is a second favorite. I love that we can now see wildlife and plenty of birds in our backyard, along with the usual salamanders, butterflies and bunnies, as we have woods and a nature trail behind the house.

I look forward to warmer but cool temperatures and the ability to be outside more!

Spring Shopping and My Buys

I have been conservative with my buys as of late, and have done more shopping my closet. However, I have purchased a few items that I have enjoyed wearing from Poshmark. If you aren’t aware of the secondhand site,  Poshmark ( they also have New with tags) read this older post.

Express boyfriend blazer bought on Poshmark. $40 shipped.

Silk Equipment Blouse- I paid $30 shipped on Poshmark

Silk blouse from Higher end brand, Haute Hippie. Purchased for $40 on Poshmark

I love a deal, as I am sure you do to! I have been doing most of my shopping this year on Poshmark, and have carefully chosen what I may need in my wardrobe. Ok, “need” is a strong word! You know what I’m sayin”

My new shoe purchase from Dolce Vita  for Spring. I liked the 2″ heel and of course the braiding. They are cushy and the ivory will go with everything! They also have them in 3 other colors- black, silver and rose gold.

Since I revamp my wardrobe each year, I have listings and a closet with Poshmark HERE, if you are interested in checking on some of my items for sale.

Visiting Dearness Gardens and Lowes for Flowers

I bought Geraniums, Pansies, Gerber Daiseys and a few other plants for our pots and planters.  Our local nursery had some plants and the rest we bought at Lowes, as they had a great selection.

Decorating and Home Good store, ATHOME, had a wonderful selection of planters and pots.

We bought these, and isn’t it special that the Sunflower is the National flower of the Ukraine!

We will head to At Home to upgrade our chair cushions, we need more “Cush for our tush”  and they have a huge selection. Love these!

Marigolds

Deck refresh- Will share more pictures soon!

Here are the mosaic pots I mentioned. I loved the bright colors!

The Anna Suit Exhibit

And if you missed my post- Two Outfits Styled Inspired by the Anna Sui Exhibit, have a read. I love her creativity and how she is influenced by music and different eras as well. The Exhibit came to town here in Charlotte at the beginning of May.

We had lunch at a “new to us”  restaurant in Charlotte, Napa on Providence, and sat on a lovely patio. It’s getting to be that time of year.

I could eat salmon every day and this was a yummy salmon salad.

St Patty’s Day celebration at Daveste Vineyards

The pups always have a good time at Daveste- especially when there is food!

I laugh when I hear people say their dog is “food motivated”! Aren’t they all!

Huge flask and kilt were optional 🙂

This band at the vineyard was a U2 Tribute band. They were very good!

We have so far had an eventful March, and it is also time for Spring cleaning! Not my favorite thing, but I do enjoy the results!!

Have you been busy this month? What have you enjoyed as Spring arrived? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Jess xx

I wish I had a knack for growing things, but alas, buying plants is usually throwing away money for me. Visiting you from the fine whatever link up.

Looks like March has been going great at your house! Fabulous Poshmark buys. I am a big fan of Poshmark as well. Love seeing your flowers, and the sunflower pot is absolutely beautiful. I’m getting the urge for annuals in pots as well.

I am enjoying spring but am a little annoyed with the back and forth of the weather down here! I am planning to plant some seeds after spring break: flowers !

Oh I know what you mean! Here in NC it has been rainy, colder than I am used to in March, not the best weather. So I am ready for some sunny warmer days. I look forward to seeing what you are planting!

You found some lovely items on Poshmark – lucky you! Love eating outside. Spring is the best time of year to do so although I won’t do it until after 5 o’clock right now in South Florida it’s getting warm. Unless of course it’s poolside! Have a fabulous weekend!

Hi Gwen! I often look for things in great condition and enjoy shopping on there- finding the deal! Yes, i love to eat outside too! I love the poolside idea, my SIL and Brother are moving here April 2nd, and they have the pool- I know where I will be this summer 😉

My favorite thing this time of year is eating outside. Soon it will be too hot to do so but in the meantime, every chance I get I want to. Spring flowers are so colorful and cheery! Can’t wait to see your deck!

It certainly is one of my favorite things! We have chillier weather still so I am waiting for the sunny warm day. I’ll have to post the deck soon!
