THT- Color Combo- Red and Burgundy- Thanksgiving Fashion Inspo

Here we are nearing Thanksgiving, and I am sharing some fashion inspo wearing a color combo of red and burgundy.

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

It’s that time of year, when the planning has started, the outfits are being chosen and the dinner plans made. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, despite the retailers advertising Christmas before Halloween this year!

I am always thinking about what should I wear for Thanksgiving, Christmas? The beauty this year, is that there are no 9-hour car rides, and my mom is coming to us!

Christmas will be at my brother’s house, as will Christmas Eve, we will have family over for drinks and appetizers.  However, I am anticipating the new hot tub at my brother’s place on Christmas Eve.

I do always love to dress up for the Holidays, and this year is no exception. Because of my PN, I cannot wear pants, or jeans, but traditionally, I have always worn a dress during these Holidays. Let’s face it, there will be food a plenty, and much like the turkey, on Thanksgiving, we will be stuffed!

I hope to make my butternut squash, pinenut, spinach and goat cheese side this year, and we always get corn pudding from a local place. My husband makes homemade cranberry sauce, so there will be no cylinder cranberries this year (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)

So, if you are looking for some Thanksgiving or Christmas outfit inspiration, I have something for you.

One of the easiest and versatile pieces I have bought this year, has been the slip dress. The wonderful thing is that they come in all lengths from mini- maxi. Here I am wearing a bright red slip dress from Tarshay. It is more substantial that I thought it would be, but i have enjoyed the versatility of styling this piece.

I chose a vintage looking floral cardigan, actually from Loft. I had this piece for years, was finally pilling, and found an exact duplicate on Poshmark in perfect condition! Mixing this bright red and burgundy, it was an eye-catching combination, and an easy style to wear. Find a floral cardigan or solid if you prefer, wear it on top of the slip dress, and voila! You have another way to wear this dress. Wearing sweaters over dresses certainly extends the life of the garment as well as adds another style trick to the game.

The textured Teddy Blake bag and croc Zara boots lend texture to this Holiday look. I also have on gold leaf earrings, as I prefer gold jewelry.

How do you dress for the Holidays? Have you tried the combination of red and burgundy?

I have not tried red + burgundy, but it looks great on you. That sweater with both colors in it really makes the combination easy on the eyes!
