THT- Styling A Bruno Magli Handbag for Spring

A woman and her handbag. Can there ever be too many?

Bruno Magli Handbag-

Women know what I am talking about.

From the love of bags to the love of shoes, it’s the design and the quality that stands out.

I must be channeling our Italy trip in the Fall, as I was sent this beautiful top handle cross body bag from Bruno Maglia.

You might ask, who is Bruno Maglia?

It is a luxury Italian house that specialized in shoes, handbags and other leather goods.

Founded in 1936, siblings Marino, Mario and Bruno started a small business in the basement of their home in BolognaItaly, after learning the art of shoemaking from their grandfather. The trio began to accept contract work until the first Magli Shoe Factory (Calzaturificio Magli) was established later that same year.”  Source- Wiki

Here are the features of my handbag per their website:

  • Top-handle crossbody bag
  • Pebbled leather
  • Supple Italian leather
  • Rolled top handle
  • Detachable, adjustable crossbody strap
  • Dimensions: 9.75″ x 4.5″ x 7.5″
  • Handle drop: 5″
  • Long-strap drop: 21.5″
  • Made in Italy

It is slightly smaller than my latest Teddy Blake bag, but holds my wallet, keys, small brush, cell phone and some lipstick. I have come to favor smaller bags, when I used to carry more hobo bags. ( always seeming to have to dig into those and find what i am looking for) . I love that I can carry it as both a satchel or crossbody bag.

This bag comes in black, cream and burgundy as well. The leather is soft and supple as well as having clean and classic lines.

Since both my hubby and I are studying Italian on Duo Lingo, I have already learned , ” Quanto e la Borsa?” ( How much is the bag?) or Quanto costa? ( How much does it cost?) LOL.

My hubby has already learned his response. “Troppo Caro” ( or too expensive!)

Well, at least we can make jokes!

A black bag is a classic, one that you can wear season after season.

Bruno Magli is also known for shoes, and I am eyeing this pair for Fall, but there are some pretty soft colors for Spring

They are having a Mother’s Day sale, so have a peek!

Life Lately

The weather in Charlotte has gotten a bit warmer lately. We went to JOLO Vineyards near Pilot Mountain on Saturday to celebrate my hubby’s birthday (again- he likes to celebrate the whole month!) and had a fabulous time! A friend of his gave high marks on this vineyard, and it was rating a top vineyard compared to some California Vineyards, with award winning wines. My friend joined us, and we  enjoyed delving into the making of the wines with a wine tasting and learned some “trade secrets” to lower tannins in the red wines. Dinner was superb and we even joined their wine club.

I include more of the day to day in my Instagram Stories, so if you don’t follow me, you can do so HERE. I spent part of Sunday looking at how to do Reels, as I used to use iMovie ( Apple) when I worked at a private school.

Have you tried this brand for bags? or do you prefer shoes? Let me know in the comments !

Such a gorgeous bag! It looks really good quality. I’ve been using Duolingo for about two and half years now, I really enjoy it! My only criticism is it doesn’t have European Portuguese, only Brazilian, so I have to use Memrise too. It’s not as good as Duo though.

Thank you Emma! Yes, it’s wonderful, Italian leather can’t be beat! I am saving some so I can get a souviner when we are there. Oh, you would think they would have that in Duo Lingo.

It’s such a great occasion to celebrate and yay for vineyards. Aren’t they the best? The ambiance always gets me. I hope your week is going well and happy Wednesday!
