22 Jul Trending: Blue and White Fashion
Blue and white is trending at the moment, and this a line dress caught my eye in the process.
Blue and White
Hi friends! I may not be shopping the Nordstrom sale, but I have found other sales where I have scooped up some great pieces for the summer. I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but when I buy something new, I donate something of the same category, that may be older that I am not wearing. This way, I do not accumulate more “stuff” and can refresh my wardrobe with pieces I love instead.
This J Crew dress is not available in blue and white, but is available in other colors, if you like the cut/shape. I love one shoulder tops and dresses, and the blue and white pattern was so fresh, I bought it on sale during the 4th of July sales. Since we are talking about blue and white trending, I will link up some other possibilities with a similar look.
Fresh is the adjective I would use to describe this classic color combination. Something about this makes me think of Santorini Greece, or
those classic blue and white plates we have in our kitchen. Figure flattering, this shape is one that looks great as it billows out into an a-line, feminine skirt, and a more fitted top half. Plus, it has pockets! I know ladies go crazy for pockets!
I paired this dress with some white strappy sandals and a rattan circle bag for a summery look. Blue and white is always a fresh color combo and one you can find and replicate. Whether it’s royal blue and white, navy and white, or a lighter pale blue and white, it tends to signify summer and a clean, fresh look.

What’s Happening?
Well, it has been such a fun summer thus far. As you know we went to Isle of Palms for a week to celebrate my mom’s 80th. We recently came back from our Anniversary trip to Nashville, and this weekend saw Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani and the rest of Van Halen at our outdoor Ampitheatre. It was a great concert, and we crossed our fingers as the weather wasn’t supposed to be great. However, with a little sprinkle during the last two songs it held off. These concerts take me back , and it is so good to see these older rockers out there doing what they ( and we) love! Sammy Hagar is 76 and he’s still going!

That concert sounds like lots of fun! I like Sammy Hagar though my husband disagrees with me about him being just as good as David Lee Roth being the front man for Van Halen.
