Happy Friday!
I have always been a “bag” girl. I love beautiful, high quality bags and believe that a bag can add such interest to an outfit, due to color, shape and texture. I do carry mostly designer bags, but many of the bags are quite reasonable, as I have found several of mine on Ebay and another resale site Bonanza. I will do a post in the future about my Spring bags, but wanted to talk about a current bag obsession and trend-The Circle Bag. With a vintage vibe, this fun bag shape is showing up everywhere from the runway to stores.
I had my eye on several circle bags from Zara, and they were at the $50 price point. A cute circle bag fromZara, with the colorful embroidery caught my eye, and I bought it! $35 on Poshmark was less than the Zara price, so score! You will see it in some posts this coming month These circle bags range in price from $30-$700. I have chosen for you more lower to moderately priced circle bags to peruse.
I have always been a fan of classic shapes for handbags, and just recently bought the Brahmin Gabriella, which has a lady-like vintage boxed shape. The circle bag has a vintage shape, and doesn’t it just remind you of a small hat box? Instead of a clutch, these bags can be a change and fun to carry.
I saw this bag and thought it went perfectly with my Boden pink coat.. but alas, a bit out of my range for now. How pretty for Spring though?

January 27, 2018 at 4:31 pmAll your picks are so pretty. I’ve never been a big fan of the circle bag, because it seems that it just wouldn’t be practical for all the stuff I carry, but I could see having one for those special occasions, instead of the standard clutch. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are having a great weekend. – Amy

January 26, 2018 at 9:30 pmOoo pretty bags! I am a bag girl also and if money wasn’t an issue, I want a museum so I can just stare at them all! But while I do love designer bags, sometimes their price tags are out of this world and do go after a much reasonable price tag. I also don’t just buy any handbag, it has to work for me and not just because it’s pretty. So yes, I consider all the details and functionality of bag first before purchasing. Another important thing I look for is, do I already have a similar style in my collection or not? I currently do not have a circle bag nor a belt bag so these two styles are actually on my wish list. 😀

January 27, 2018 at 8:48 amHehe! I love the bag museum idea. i can relate! I also choose bags for function and have gone lately for smaller bags. I have to have a strap on my bags too, as i don’t like carrying heavy bags without them on my shoulder. I do have “enough’ bags, but the circle bag really caught my eye for shape, and the space is about the same as a clutch.

January 26, 2018 at 6:45 amI am a bag girl too Jess. I wish I had more space as I would have quite a collection. I have been noticing these circle bags showing up everywhere and considered getting a straw one for Spring. I’d love to see a post on scoring designer bags from resale sights!
Have a great weekend gorgeous Jess!

January 26, 2018 at 6:10 amIt will be interesting to see how you style them bc I see them more for a modern/contemporary style like Twiggy was in the 60’s so that the round purses softened the angular lines of the clothing styles. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

January 26, 2018 at 10:33 amThanks for your input Leslie. This round circle bag can be seen in vintage styles, but I can also see how they would look great with a modern style. They are showing up everywhere and on the runways, showing them with long flowy floral dresses. i look forward to sharing my styling. 😉 xx
