06 Jul Trending Now- Slides for Easy Summer Style

Looking at my closet, when my mom visited, I realize I have alot of shoes. ( Ok, maybe I have realized this before! ) Many of the shoes have been from blogging, working with wonderful companies like Jambu, Andre Assous and Rockport, among others. But, I have been noticing this trend for this summer-Slides. Just a simple flat shoe with a fabric, leather, straw front makes an easy summer look even easier. I thought i would put together some of my favorite pairs. i haven’t jumped the gun yet, as i need a bit more support than some slides have to offer. However, if you aren’t worried about that, they are the perfect shoe to just slip in and be on your way to a winery, summer concert, or just out for the day. Keeping your feet cool.

I thought i would round up some selections for you, if you are in the mood to try some slides. I have but one lonely pair in my closet, a cognac leather pair by Same Edelman, I bought a few years ago with a wider Birkenstock-style base. I love some of the slides now, that have a more narrow base and open toed, easy for summer styles. Because they are open- toed, slides also elongate the leg, when wearing shorts skirts or dresses as the leg line is not cut off by straps. If you are looking up shoes for summer on-line, you will see the slide everywhere.

If you are looking for more of a casual slide, there are even ones with a plastic base, like a swim slide with a wider foot bed.

These Aerosole floral slides have a bit of a vintage vibe in this rose pink color and squared toe.

Sam Edelman makes a white slide with just a bit of padding. Love the style, comes in lots of colors too.

A little more glam, with the jewel on the side, white and blue stripes remind me of summer.

These Marc Fisher Reidan studded slides are hot, hot , hot.. so much that I couldn’t find them in my size in white. Other colors are available if you like this look.

I love the colors and linen fabric of these Mango slides.

Mango again. I love the rich red and fabric bows. The slides have a espadrille type base, which adds more support.

Yep. You guessed it. Mango. A pair of cute yellow and white tassel slides. Love the texture.
