Trending Now: Wearing Navy and Orange-Spring 2016

Hello All

Here we are, the last day of March. Has your weather turned to spring?  Are there a lot of showers to be expected? Rain and blogging are not great working conditions, but that is what cute umbrellas are for…now to find one!

As I like to keep up with trends and what may appeal to me, I was looking at the Spring NYFW Shows and several caught my attention. This combination was one of them. I love to try and read about new color combinations, and this was something I will try in the near future.  Here are just a few examples from a pic taken from fashion week demonstrating the trend. Think of navy as a neutral and it can be paired with many colors. Even the used to be “fashion no-no” of navy and black had made a resurgence. A bit on the preppy side, orange has “grown on me” as a bright color that can be worn with many in the spring. I find that many woman either like it or don’t. In the example below, I love the floral and jeweled necklace but I would probably just then pair with the navy drop earrings as one may look too “busy” with all of the ornate jewelry. Necklace, earrings and clutch would work quite well.  The dress in it’s bandage style is quite flattering, and if one could easily throw a sheer navy light shawl around the shoulders for an evening out.

Would you wear this color combination for spring? Why or why not?

What other colors do you like to pair with navy that may be unexpected?

Have a great weekend!

I love that last combination with the jeans, striped top, orange scarf and tan sweater. I would wear that in a heart beat. Thanks for sharing this with us, as I wasn’t on top of the orange and navy trend. But I like it! – Amy –

I used to wear this combo to the office but now I don’t because I don’t have anything except jeans in blue. It is one of the most flattering combinations for redheads 🙂 I bought a new mini clutch in orange yesterday! So now navy blue…

    Have a nice weekend!

    I love this combination.
Orange is one of my favourite colours and navy makes it look a little more grown up.
That navy dress, with the ruffle, is a beauty!
