First, let me say how warm and fuzzy I got after receiving so many lovely comments and well wishes from last week for my 5th blog Anniversary. The friendships and connections I have made through blogging warms my heart, so thank you so much! . Now, speaking of warm, what gets your blood flowing? Exercise is one of those things and today’s look is more of an athleisure look I put together with some new fancy sneaks, called the Azalea, by Jambu. Before I talk about Jambu, I was glad I got these photos ahead of time! It is supposed to rain all week this week! Tough for blog photos! Doesn’t Mother Nature have a heart?
I no longer am in a music classroom, but this would have been a great look for the movement and type of day I would have as a music teacher. I do love dressing up, but looking put together on the weekend, sometimes you want to be casual, comfy, yet still look stylish and put together. Athleisure is still on the fashion pages, and it doesn’t mean jeans and a t-shirt, necessarily.
This uniform is an easy style to get together for the weekends with chores, going out for a casual lunch, or meeting a friend. One part long cardigan + black column look ( shell and black trousers) + colorful scarf +athlesiure sneakers. These sneakers, The Azalea, from Jambu, and are so light and comfortable, you will forget you are wearing them! I love the memory foam footbed, indicative of Jambu shoes, as you can’t beat it! I am continuing this year as a Jambu Brand Ambassador, so be on the lookout for more Spring shoes! Have a look at the other comfortable flats for women Jambu has to offer.
These would also be great for travel, as they are slip on, and so light, TSA made ready and easy to walk in. The cute strappy sides are fun and great for ventilation, keeping your feet cool. The bottom was engraved in a “J” lettering, especially for me! Kidding, obviously, it is Jambu. They also have a bungee cord closure that is adjustable in order to loosen or tighten the shoe.
I have written about the Jambu Naomi, another athleisure type shoe with more of a sneaker base and darling style. Have a read- Naomi Athleisure Shoe by Jambu
Besides the new sneaks, I bought a cute pair of camo leggings from Target and am ready to begin a new routine using my new treadmill that is coming Friday! I am excited, as the gym I used to go to is very dark and uninviting, everyone looked kind of miserable working out! So, my hubby and I wanted to make one of our rooms a gym room, and choose to workout outside or at home. This treadmill, also has one year of iFit for me to take advantage of, where trainers from all over, will tailor a workout for you. I am excited, and hope it gives me more energy! I can use it!
The long, lighter grey cardigan I bought from Nordstrom Rack a few months ago, when I was on a frenzy to buy long cardigans. I love the look and this third piece makes for easy styling. I am wearing a shell from Ann Taylor, and black pants that were gifted to me last year by Joseph Ribkoff. Column dressing or wearing one color elongates the body and creates one long line.
I added the pink, white and grey floral scarf to add more color to the look and around my face. Tip: if you are fair skinned, or don’t like to wear black, choose a scarf or necklace with color that will be the focus. The scarf brightens up my face and adds some light to an otherwise dark palette. I often love silver or pewter jewelry with grey tones, so I chose a modern pair of silver earrings.
Wearing a pink lippie by Tarte. Lipstick lingerie.
