I was in the mood to style some dresses from my closet, and there are ways I style that makes the look a bit more fashionable- one is print mixing and adding texture.
How are you today? I am tired of Winter and ready for more bright sunny days. But, in the meantime, cloudy grey days do make for better pictures. We are here in a nearby development that has lovely white fences and plenty of sidewalks to walk your pup. I had my hair done a few weeks ago, and because of the lighting, you will notice a difference in yesterday’s and today’s post. It really is about how the sun hits the hair.
I mentioned we had a fabulous time out on Valentine’s Day, and the Cottage 3-course meal with 5 wines did not break the bank. We decided to go there the day before and had no problem getting a reservation. We had a wonderful time and my hubby also bought me a beautiful magenta orchid in a pretty pot to display. I may plant it!
This suede moto was one purchase I bought a few years ago from Nordstrom yearly sale. I love the rich color and it mixed with much in my closet! I knew I wanted to do some print mixing, ( which you will see tomorrow as well) and do so by accessories. This leopard scarf would mix nicely with the floral print of the dress- keeping the medium print scaled with the dress print.
How else do I add to a look for more elegance? I have a few textured tights that I reach for often. These lace/textured tights add more interest and sophistication in drawing the eye in. So if you haven’t tried textured tights, give it a go!
