12 Oct Turning Heads Linkup- Caite and Kyla- Green Snakeskin Maxi Dress- The Cami Dress
The Cami dress by Caite and Kyla caught my eye when I saw it on Instagram. Snakeskin print, a beautiful green shade and maxi, yes!
My Outfit
The tiered style has been a popular dress style for the last several years. This dress has a boho vibe and voluminous sleeves.
The cami dress, is styled with and without a belt, and also added my Anthropologie denim jacket for added shape. I could really use a black wide belt, but I went with the dark brown for added accentuation of my waist with the dress. After, I went with the dress, as its flowy style, and styled the look without a belt. It’s carefree, boho look, certainly lent itself to this look as well.
I love the look of a midi or maxi dress with tall boots, as it continues the leg line without breaking it up with a shorter bootie, so I am wearing my black leather boots.
If you missed some of my other Caite and Kyla posts, check out yesterday’s post. I link other blog posts and share a look with their beautiful Edee Tunic.
Plenty of styling opportunities with this dress as the weather gets colder.
Try wearing this dress with a chunky knit over top. ( looks like a sweater and skirt combo)
Add a moto jacket for more edge. ( love this especially with the snakeskin!)
Long cardigans are a great way to contrast or add color and warmth. Picture a long knit cardi with this dress.
Happenings- Un Weekend Italiano
We saw the movie- The Saints of Newark, the precursor to the Sopranos, with a young Gandalfini playing Tony. I did enjoy it, but I felt that it would have been better as a limited series to really develop the relationship of the characters more. Plus, there were just some gratuitus killings that didn’t seem to make sense. There had to be high expectations, as I couldn’t wait to watch the Sopranos each time it was on. Although I think it could have been a bit more in depth, I wouldn’t just say, “Fagetaboutit” !
It rained all week and on Saturday, so there was more blog work, reading and Netflix in store. I may have had “Italian ” on my mind, as I was craving my favorite dish from this authentic, NY Italian Restaurant we frequent. Eggplant Rollitini loaded with cheese. So we took the one non-rainy day and went to Bascillicos Restaurant. Delizioso!

Posted at 20:29h, 26 OctoberWhat a perfect dress and your accessories are spot on. Love that wide belt and your bag. As you may remember, in my books green is the best color in the world. And I don’t know anyone who wears it as well.

Posted at 14:08h, 12 OctoberThat dress is such a pretty color, it almost reminds me of the color of your recent Teddy Blake bag! That belt really looks like it was made to go with this dress! I really love how the snakeskin print isn’t overpowering and blends in beautifully with the color of the dress.

Posted at 09:18h, 12 OctoberThis dress is gorgeous! I like the drop waist as I think it flatters more bodies than a baby doll or empire waist. Beautiful color too.
