When looking at Chico’s selection on-line, I came across this watercolor linen poncho that I couldn’t resist. The beautiful bold colors in a painted style caught my eye, along with the images of sailboats and flowers in a blue green sea. I love the floaty, light style; all I need is a tropical, fruity, drink in my hand! The image and colors projected from the easy linen poncho would be fun to wear in the summer months. I have been on a linen kick lately, and will be sharing some other pieces I bought for summer.
Speaking of Color- House
I was so excited to have the rooms painted recently! The panters (2) came to paint our 2 story great room, a steel blue Sherwin Williams paint color and refreshed all of the white areas including doors and our fireplace. My mom and I went to look for new curtains and I came away with 2 new endtables in grey, and beautiful white curtains with a textured design. The room is so beautiful and looks so refreshed and new! Our entranceway/foyer, stairway and hallway upstairs are now painted a sage green and I love it! The colors are very calming, and the painter commented on how I should be in interior design because of all of my color choices. Hubby said, She is a fashion blogger ( so i get to use those skills 🙂 We also bought new white coverlet, sheets and pillows for the guest room. It is amazing how much more fresh it looks!
You all know i am a stickler for detail. I came across these white crops and the eyelet bottom was just the kind of detail I look for. The crops are soft and this is a must for me with my leg sensitivity. I was quite pleased when i put them on. I loved the mix of color from the poncho and the bright white with the eyelet cropped pants. the turqouise drop earrings add another touch of color reminding me of the sea.
This was the first time I tried Chico’s pants, the So Slimming Eyelet Hem Girlfriend Crops, and I was happy when I tried them on as they are very comfortable. I will be wearing these through out the summer with other bold tops and white for a fun, fresh look. I am tall, at 5 foot 9, so crops do work for me, but even still, I prefer a bit of a heel creating a long line, as opposed to some flats which cut the leg short. However, a pair of slides, which are popular now, would still continue the leg line. They are made in petite as well.
For size reference- the poncho comes in S/M and L/XL. I am wearing a S/M.
The Girlfriend Crops are a size 00, which translates to a 2 in conventional sizing. I used the size chart measurements as my guide.
You all know by now, that color is my thing, and i love to wear fun, vibrant colors that work with my skin tone. I was recently featured on the blog, Forever 51, as they explained my love for color.
I added a bit more green to this look with my textured pin green bag by Rebecca Minkoff.
The drop earrings in shimmery medalians of mother of pearl and metal remind me more of the ocean with the turquoise stones elegantly draping from the ear. My cuff is from Uncommon Goods and has made several appearances when I am thinking of a beach or ocean vibe.
