Turning Heads Linkup – Floral Maxi Dress for Spring

Hi friends

How are you? Are you finding ways to de-stress?

One thing I enjoy is taking inventory of my closet and dressing for Spring. This vibrant red floral maxi dress called to me when I bought it last year. I enjoyed wearing it last Friday when my sister dropped off more groceries from Costco.

Weekend and Fashion

Before I talk about the fashion, what have you been up to on the weekend?  My mom says she runs out of things to discuss with friends.. “I am cleaning, making this for dinner… etc. etc. I get it!

We decided to rent the movie, JoJo Rabbit, about a young German boy, aged 10, who befriends an imaginary Adolph Hitler. The story talks about what is going on in his life during WW II. It was very good! Humour and great characters!  We ordered from a Mexican restaurant, curbside, and had a mountain of nachos, burrito chicken dinner, and an excellent bottle of Chardonay. It was a nice evening, but I am such a wine wimp! I hit the bed by 9!

I have a mix of classic pieces in my closet, basics and of course, Spring florals. I love larger print florals with beautiful colors. I’ve been adding a bit more red in my closet and decided to style this Mango maxi dress with red accents today. I bought the dress last year, but there are still a few sizes on Mangooutlet.com.

I’ve added a few flowy maxi dresses to my closet this season. Something about them makes me feel very feminine and stylish. The ease of a dress is welcomed always, and in the Spring, fun and fresh.

This dress has dolman sleeves and a wrap style. I wore this when I met Shelbee and Jennie last summer in Asheville, but never on the blog. So, here it is!

My hair hasn’t been done in 7 weeks and I need a haircut! I am not about to tackle it on my own though, so I’ll wait.

Such a beautiful dress, I love the print! The deep red bag looks great with it. I’m a wine wimp too, especially red – it makes me so tired!

Beautiful! You really have a Spring look going on. I love it!

Due to a long bout with my spring allergies, I find myself mostly staying away from FB as I’m feeling intolerant towards people who feel their need for a new tattoo is more important than defeating the virus. I had one comment I edited 3 times to make sure my irritation wasn’t pointed. I had to laugh as we are already isolating and I’m isolating myself further. I have creative projects I’d like to do, but just haven’t felt well enough to dive in. So that turned into a bit of rant. My apologies!

JoJo Rabbit sounds like a great movie. I will have to tell the hubs about it since he loves to watch movies. My hair is in need of a trim too but I am waiting for haircut as well. I love this floral dress! The red and white color combination is beautiful. I also adore the dolman sleeves – they are one of my favorite style. I hope you are having a good start to your week and happy Tuesday!

I am loving that pop of red in that floral dress! SO cute! I am now a wine wimp, too! Two glasses is almost too many! Yikes! Thanks for the movie reviews–it gives me some ideas for this week’s viewing! Lol!

I have been addicted to Wrap Dresses for quite some time now….the only problem? my weight has fluctuated up and down throughout the years, and my body shape is such that I have a protruding belly….thankfully, i did Intermittent Fasting for one year now and I finally have been able to get into my wrap dresses again!

You have such a good eye for finding beautiful fashions that fit your style so well. This dress is feminine w/o being fussy. My daughters are still working/going to school, so they have some things to talk about. I contribute my latest project and book I’m reading, but it’s not the same for sure!

The movie sound interesting! We have been eating outdoors quite often but we do need some shade where our outdoors table is. At dinner time, the sun shines right in your eyes!
Ordering pizza tonight. Trying to think if we have a local restaurant where we can pick some up vs a chain.

That is such a great maxi dress on you, so nice for spring, and I like the red bag with it! You know I love a little matchy matchy! 🙂 We have movie night every weekend – although we don’t eat out I’ll often do something easy like a frozen pizza 🙂

I am finding life a little repetitive with home isolation but the kids always keep it interesting, haha! they get up to all sorts!

    Thanks for the link up!

Hope you are having a great week 🙂

What a beautiful floral print dress!
It’s so feminine and looks wonderful on you!
Your hair still looks fabulous, mine is now showing more grey hairs.
I don’t think I will go to the salon until the end of May even though Georgia is open.

    Stay well!

Such a pretty dress – and I had no idea Mango had an outlet! When I drink 2 glasses of wine I fall asleep, I’m a wimp too – doesn’t happen if I have a cocktail though. Nachos sound great – I love Mexican!
