Turning Heads Linkup – Karina Dresses – Autumn in New York Collection

You know I love my Karina dresses! I seemed to have amassed quite a collection. I love the versatility, styles and no wrinkle factor. I am probably going to take this one on my vacation in October! Just roll it up in your suitcase and no ironing involved, I love that, especially if I am on a trip. This Fall Paisley print was an easy choice for me with its rust, orange, olive, burgundy and cobalt shades. I knew I had a lot in my closet to layer with this dress, so you will see it again, styled for colder weather. This dress is part of the Autumn in New York Collection with the print called “Cinnamon Coffee”.

Karina Dresses and the weekend

Thank Goodness I took these pictures a week before the storm. I haven’t had the ability to take photos ( not the most crucial thing in the world) as the storm has created tress down, wind and rain for the past 5 days. I have been praying that all of the people affected by the storm had safety and got out of harms way. Our area, Charlotte,  was prepared for the weather and fortunately, we did not lose power or water. We had our Emergency Storm Kit of beer, wine, hummus and cheeses.  No really, that was our “back up kit” we made sure we had water, milk and bread, of course! 🙂

With being home bound from Thursday to Sunday, with heavy winds and rain, I was able to get some things done. I worked on the blog, played guitar, and organized my closet for Fall.

Karina dresses has a new collection- Autumn in New York, that I love- a ruby red dress,  olive  with polka dots and  the Falling Leaves print being favorites. You know they are made in the USA and are perfect for the Fall trip or wearing to work.

Outfit

What I loved about this dress, besides the faux wrap style, is all of the beautiful fall shades in this look. A great way to transition to Fall, when you are in the South, is dress in Fall colors, and this Karina dress has that. I love the paisley print with the browns, rust, burgundy and cobalt shades. I’ll add a jean jacket or moto to this look with boots when it gets a bit chilly.

“Pardon Me Boys, Here Comes the Chatanooga Cho-Cho” – oops, I must still have Glenn Miller on the brain.. Here comes the Huntersville, NC, Ca-boose!  This red caboose is a Huntersville Landmark.

I knew I wanted to bring a “bit of Fall” into this look with Fall colors. Layers will have to wait! I do have plans for this dress as the weather gets chiller, however, I thought I would wear burgundy and brown and bring out my LV Speedy, as it was getting awfully lonely in my closet!

I love dragonflies- and the ruby center added a fun touch to this vintage inspired dress.

Gorgeous dress, Jess. I love the colors that pattern and your shoes are positively perfect! I’m glad you didn’t get all the damage and problems that they did right along the coast. It is nice once in a while to have a reason to stay inside and get a few things done. Have a great day! – Amy

Jess, you wear your Karrina dresses so beautifully and this one with its Autumn toned paisley is just perfect with your hair and skin tone. I had been wondering if you were affected by the storms, glad to hear that all is OK. Many thanks for hosting .

So very happy y’all made without much of the storm hitting there. The tornadoes went through Richmond yesterday and one set down and destroyed a bldg and took a life 1.5 miles from my parents house. So scary. Love the dress and the shoes and bag are perfect. I’d love an LV, but just feel so guilty to buy one. XO

I am so happy to hear you never lost power or water and y’all were prepared. It is so hard to see all the flooding and loss, my continued prayers for all those affected by Florence. So much heartbreak!
