23 May Turning Heads Linkup-Leota Maxi Dress in Bold Print
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. It has been pretty warm here in Charlotte, our pool is open ( has opened since April 30) and the temps have climbed to 90s some days. I was recently contacted by Leota, a company I have collaborated with before HERE, and was happy to choose this dress, the Skyler Maxi in Water Lily from their Spring 2017 line. I love the bright colors, the fabric, the ease of dress and the non-wrinkle factor. I’ll be visiting my husband’s family this week, ( road trip) so I’ll do my best to visit and comment when I can.
Leota has so many fun and colorful prints to choose from, as well as plenty of different cuts for anyone’s shape. The dress I chose last time was the a tee shirt dress, in a blue pattern. As I looked through their transitional line and their Spring line, this maxi dress, the stood out to me! I love the bright cobalt blue with the pink and white bold floral pattern of this dress. What else about the dress caught my eye? I love the maxi length ( as I am just starting to add more maxis to my closet). the tie around the neck and higher neckline.
I paired it with my Jambu navy wedges for a bit more casual look, but I could also have worn my blush sandals for a bit more “dressed up” look. What I love about this is. as they say “one and done”. Add shoes and accessories and you are out the door! I chose my drop pale pink earrings and Ann Taylor white structured necklace, although, next time I may add just a metal bracelet to let the high collar take center stage on its own.
I paired this dress with my GiGi NY blush clutch.( sim) Enough room to reapply some lipstick in this hot weather!( and a few other essentials)
The dress is one piece but the top layered over top, gives it a 2 piece feel. The material is soft, stretchy and comfortable!
“Sarah Carson named the line after her great-grandmother Leota; we believe in strong matriarchs, good manners, working hard, and dressing the part.” Leota believes that you will want to wear a dress when you try on one of their dresses. Take it from me, you all know I love my dresses!
Leota’s dresses are made in NYC, with good working conditions that support our economy. They believe in comfort, colorful and artistic patterns.
I’ll be taking this to my beach vacation this summer! A great item to pack as it doesn’t wrinkle, and who doesn’t love that?
Check out all of the beautiful bright colors, patterns and styles LEOTA has to offer!
