Turning Heads Linkup-Loving the Embroidery Trend

Hello Friends

I couldn’t resist this dress when I saw it on ASOS. I bought this months ago and it has been sitting in my closet just waiting to make an appearance!  I stick pretty well to my monthly budget or otherwise I might have bought a few more lots of  embroidered tops and dresses. I have one other one I look forward to sharing. I thought this dress was unique with its higher sheer neck and embroidered sleeves in red and pink. The scalloped sleeve trim and bottom trim on the dress appealed to me and I plan on styling this sheer portion other ways… gotta be creative!

I did like that the dress came with a red slip underneath to bring out the color and that it wasn’t tan. These strappy red block sandals were bought at Target for under $30, couldn’t pass them up.  I plan on wearing this to my nephew’s soon to be wife’s shower and I think it would be lovely for many occasions.

I have been having hard time healthwise as I am coming off of a medication and each time I drop I get to experience the withdrawal effects. Nothing like having to change out of your robe every night due to night sweats! ( and no it isnt hormones.. I can tell the difference) I have more muscle pain and then I’m dealing with this, some anxiety and other symptoms. I know it is temporary, but it isn’t fun! It can be such a challenge at times as I do try and just get on with my day, but when you feel like your body has been trampled by elephants it can be hard to ignore. Believe it or not, getting dressed up or put together does help with my psyche 🙂

I love the embroidered on the shoulders with the sheer portion of the dress.

We went, however go out to lunch this day and enjoyed sitting out on the patio in 80 degree weather. The beauty of NC is at times, Spring just melds into Summer. I have found some great embroidered options if you are looking to add this trend to your wardrobe! I also wanted to share these fluttering butterflies earrings from Uncommon Goods I received as they are spring personified! 🙂

What a gorgeous embroidered dress Jess. I love that it is two pieces since that see-through embroidered overlay would look great over many things. Loving your sandals too. I purchased them in black with the gold little heels. Ohh and I hope you will feel better soon, my friend. =)

As a matter of fact I featured this outfit (here http://eleganceandmommyhood.blogspot.com/2017/05/cinco-de-mayo-inspirations-and-thursday.html) because I loved it so much. Check it out and don’t forget to linkup again this week with my Thursday Moda linkup (below).

Jess, you are such a trooper and an example to us, of dealing with chronic health problems but still having a positive attitude and still keeping on! You are truly beautiful inside and out. This dress is so pretty. I love the embroidery trend too and I haven’t really shopped for anything new in a while, but I will be looking at things like jeans with the embroidery and maybe a jacket or vest. Have a great day and I hope things get better real soon. – Amy
