Turning Heads Linkup – Mustard Floral Midi Dress

Hello friends

I mentioned one of my favorite types of dresses lately is the midi dress. I do think it is a classy looking length that looks great on everyone. I saw this mustard floral and white bold floral dress on Mango, as I have been loving their Spring season collection.

My Outfit

What do you get when you pair some white lace espadrilles with a bucket bag, minimal jewelry, and a shirt dress? An easy Springtime put together look! This pattern looked vintage or vintage-inspired to me, and I couldn’t resist the sunny mustard color mixed with white. I love the bolder pattern and the comfort can’t be beat. Who said “comfort” was a 4 letter word, do you know what I mean?

I was so excited to buy this dress, I didn’t wait for a sale and snagged it straightaway as the Spring collection came out on Mango. Want to see other Mango dress I bought this season read here- Stylish Mondays- Styling florals and New Mango Dress.

I couldn’t find the dress now, but they do have the print in a top.

What is great about shirt dresses is the different ways this can be worn.

Ways to Wear the Shirtdress

Try it open like a duster with an all-white column look.

Wear it with fitted trousers. I don’t often wear dresses with pants underneath, but see others who do and like this style.

Style with some flowy linen trousers underneath, and some flat straw or neutral  slides.

I added my “angel bear” brooch. A gold vintage brooch that depicts a teddy bear with wings. I call my little puppies my “angel bears”, so I thought it fitting! The poor bear is on a bit crooked, but I am a little off kilter anyway, so it fits!

Other accessories- I wanted to change it up with my white bucket bag, but I could also style this with my rattan bags for a striking summer look. Gold earrings or accessories would also add to the warmth of the look and look wonderful with the mustard yellow tone. Sizing is my usual size 4.

This really does have a retro vibe. I’m really into yellow this year.

I think it would be great styled as a duster as you mentioned.

That’s a gorgeous dress! I love the fit of a midi dress, it looks so romantic. And I love that pattern, yellow is one of my favourite colours and in the spring it looks amazing, plus, that pattern and colours remind me of ice cream, the lemon cornetto to be more specific, which is one of my favourites haha

This is a beautiful dress and so glad you got one before it sold out! I don’t like that when it happens especially when it’s really calling it out to you. I love that you styled it with white accessories for a refreshing and crisp look. I have recently got into midi dresses and I do love that their length is so much more manageable than the short or regular ones. I hope your week is off to a great start and happy Tuesday!

Since moving to Florida, I assumed I’d rarely dress up again. However, lately I’ve been going to various events and I need dresses to wear! lol. Yours looks perfect. Thank you for the inspiration. I have something tonight and I may make a store run. Anyway, you look lovely in this yellow dress and I love the shoes. Thank you for the feature Jess! 🙂
