I mentioned one of my favorite types of dresses lately is the midi dress. I do think it is a classy looking length that looks great on everyone. I saw this mustard floral and white bold floral dress on Mango, as I have been loving their Spring season collection.
What do you get when you pair some white lace espadrilles with a bucket bag, minimal jewelry, and a shirt dress? An easy Springtime put together look! This pattern looked vintage or vintage-inspired to me, and I couldn’t resist the sunny mustard color mixed with white. I love the bolder pattern and the comfort can’t be beat. Who said “comfort” was a 4 letter word, do you know what I mean?
I was so excited to buy this dress, I didn’t wait for a sale and snagged it straightaway as the Spring collection came out on Mango. Want to see other Mango dress I bought this season read here- Stylish Mondays- Styling florals and New Mango Dress.
I couldn’t find the dress now, but they do have the print in a top.
What is great about shirt dresses is the different ways this can be worn.
Ways to Wear the Shirtdress
Try it open like a duster with an all-white column look.
Wear it with fitted trousers. I don’t often wear dresses with pants underneath, but see others who do and like this style.
Style with some flowy linen trousers underneath, and some flat straw or neutral slides.
I added my “angel bear” brooch. A gold vintage brooch that depicts a teddy bear with wings. I call my little puppies my “angel bears”, so I thought it fitting! The poor bear is on a bit crooked, but I am a little off kilter anyway, so it fits!
Other accessories- I wanted to change it up with my white bucket bag, but I could also style this with my rattan bags for a striking summer look. Gold earrings or accessories would also add to the warmth of the look and look wonderful with the mustard yellow tone. Sizing is my usual size 4.
