They say, “Good things come to those who wait.”  I saw this dress last Spring and really wanted it but the price was a bit high. I waited until this year, and got it on sale- This Mango one shoulder dress was worth the wait!

My outfit

If you live in the South, cool fabrics become your friend and necessity in the Summer months. No one wants clothes sticking to them, fabrics that don’t breathe. This dress from Mango is 100% cotton, and I fell for the one shoulder design and of course the color.

The green is no longer available on the Mango site, but it is on sale in beige and white. 

I paired it with my favorite straw bag and white Zara strappy sandals. Love this bag under $22 in white rattan.

The sandals are from Zara last season, but these Marc Fisher ones are similar, and on sale!

Vacation Bound Soon

We are headed to Avalon beach on Friday, and I am posting about what I am taking to the beach, but look forward to a week of sandy beach and fun with the family. We have rented a beach house, and I am hoping to learn to paddleboard. I have been working on strength training more, so I am ready. Now, if I can keep my balance!  We will go out to dinner a few nights, as there are quite a few celebrations in July, with our family. My birthday ( the 8th), my  two year old niece, m mom’s at the end of the month, and our 20th Anniversary. I know there will be fireworks at the beach, and I look forward to sharing some of my trip with you on IG Stories.

I am a water girl for sure! My hubby is one to go into the ocean up to his knees and say, “I’m good.” I am the lady on the boogie board chasin waves! Thursday a sun hat that is gifted from Tenth Street Hats will arrive just in time for our trip. I like to have a sunhat to protect my face. Gone are the days where I lay out endlessly. We have a great dome set up and enjoy reading at the beach as well.

    The folks at Mango need to put you on payroll. You wear their dresses so beautifully. And those earrings remind me of tembleque Panama…traditional accessories worn in the hair in Panama. So very feminine and fun.

    Atta way for being a boogie board kinda gal. I am, too. In fact, we are headed to the beach the end of this month and I can’t wait to board!! Hope you have a fabulous time on your holiday. Sounds like you will have lots of celebrations. We try to do beach birthdays because there are 4 in the family with birthdays in July.

    This dress is definitely worth the wait. It looks so stunning and I adore the one shoulder detail. It definitely has me wanting to go to the beach for a holiday! Speaking of, your trip sounds amazing! I can’t wait to hear what you don your birthday and how paddleboard goes for you. And to let you in on a secret, I am similar to your hubby.
