Turning Heads Linkup-Oufit Inspiration-Handpainted Scarf

Hello friends

How was your weekend? We went to a new vineyard, Shadow Springs Vineyard, in the Yadkin Valley, to try their new Spring offerings. Gibby and Truffles met Buddy, a 15 year old poodle who was the mascot at the vineyard and so sweet. We tasted 7 wines and ended drinking a bottle of Viognier with a slight oaky taste. It was a beautiful afternoon, and I hope to bring you some posts on various vineyards in the area.

Glad you are here for Turning Heads Tuesday! I received this hand painted ย scarf as “Thank you’ for the work I have done from Uno Alla Volta and I knew I could put together a look with it that would feature the scarf and be complimentary in color. What a nice treat! I wasn’t required to do a post, but I thought, why not style this beautiful scarf straight away!

My chiffon cardigan in steel blue paired nicely with the scarf and lavendar Ann Taylor dress. I began with the scarf as my inspiration and shopped my closet for a look that would bring out the colors of the scarf. I was going to wear my new black jumpsuit gifted from Picadilly today, but I styled it yesterday if you want to check it out! I wanted some color!

What I love about this is that it is hand painted and no two scarves are alike due to the process. The swirled colors of teal, purple, pinks, chartreuse and orange will make any outfit a colorful one. I could easily see dressing up a white tee and jeans with this beautiful scarf letting it take center stage! ( I may just have to do this in the future). I have been adding scarves here and there for spring as they can really amp up an outfit. I also loved that the scarf is light, silk and came with a tie clip. The delicate nature of the scarf is perfect with the clip adding a pretty touch. Let’s just say it was pretty windy this day for photos and I ended up having to hold my scarf down for some of the pics.

Since Easter is coming up, this outfit with the pastels would be the perfect look!

One of my favorite metal mesh bracelets c/o Chaos Ny from years ago, but I wear it often.

[…] I can still picture myself, in 4th Grade, wearing purple oversized glasses and my blue ย floral dress, dancing, waving a flag and singing to a patriotic song on stage. Ah, fond memories! Now, if only I knew where that picture was! ย I do think of the 4th of July as being the real kickoff to Summer! I love grilling out, enjoying summer wines, taking a dip in the pool, vacation time and just enjoying the sunshine. With Summer here, there are less layers to our outfits, so wearing unique, one of a kind jewelry is another way to make a statement! Today I am wearing some unique glass Murano jewelry from a brand in which I introduced to you previously, Uno Alla Volta.ย  Meaning one at a time, the artisans of the company creates something special with each piece.
