Morning friends!
I’m all cozy and warm in this thick red knit sweater dress. You know from reading the blog in the past, that I do love a great sweater dress! This rich red-blue hue caught my eye and I wanted to style it for this Holiday season.

It’s a busy week as we prepare for Thanksgiving, and start to get down the Christmas decorations. I always love decorating this time of year and I bought a few new things to add to the decor in our living room. I wanted some Christmas pillows. I am also enamored with the red truck design with the tree in the back of the pickup. It is a rustic looking image and old fashioned, which I love. Our tree is very “woodland inspired” as we started to collect woodland animal ornaments when we came across them in Asheville.

I’ve got to get on the ball with Thanksgiving, but I know we are having corn puddling ( soufle) asparagus, smoked turkey.. and a few other dishes. I need to find my side dish and plan- or I make a butternut squash soup. It is only my sister, niece, hubby and I, so I don’t need to go crazy!  I did make a yummy jambalaya the other night that went well.

My Outfit

Target strikes again! I saw this dress on-line and knowing I had parted with a few sweater dresses that were pilling and old, I was due for a new one! This rich red caught my eye and I loved the longer length and mock turtleneck. I am wearing it in an XS and even the sleeves are long enough! I loved this with the pops of red in my Zara circle bag, and love wearing gold jewelry with red as well. I’m wearing my black croc booties, but could easily style this with tall leather boots for a chic look. They also have the dress  in grey and black.

It certainly has potential as my Thanksgiving outfit! I love to be comfortable, nothing pressing on my gut – so jeans are out. This lady wears dresses on this Holiday.

    I love the addition of the brooch! What a lovely holiday look. I am starting to decorate for Christmas little by little. Coming back from vacation is always a little adjustmen with a long to do list. At least laundry and groceries are done!

    I love that red sweater dress!! Gorgeous, Jess. And the circle bag is adorable with it. I had to chuckle as I read some of your comments–in agreement! Lol! No jeans pressing on the tummy. Check. Decorative pillow with truck and Christmas tree. Oh, yeah. I have that one, too–and love it.
