Turning Heads Linkup – Royalty for Me Jeans

Morning ladies!

Well, I don’t think of myself as a Queen, but Royalty for Me contacted me to try their jeans. Now, my pup, Truffles, is the one we call “Princess” :-), nevertheless, I am sharing a collaboration with this California jean company today. Looking to read about the InFluencers of Midlife Conference? Click on yesterday’s post, as I wrote a lengthy post then. It was very inspiriing and I had a great time.

Weekend

Well, it was an eventful weekend, even as the temperatures dipped into below freezing here in NC. We went to pick up my two guitars at Midwood Guitars, as they were set up professionally with new strings. Because of my condition, I haven’t played in about 10 years, so needless to say, I am a bit rusty. I was thrilled to get them and look forward to just sitting down and working on some tunes. Speaking of guitar, have you heard of Band mash-ups? It s when a band takes two songs and weaves them together. Hubby and I were listening to this band that does just that, called, Rock Sugar. It may be a aquired taste. The first song is “Don’t Stop the Sandman”, a mix of Metallica’s Enter Sandman, and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin”…Since I am a rock fan extrordaniarre, I had to check it out.. 🙂

When we came back home, there was a grey furry kitty coming close to the house as we came in the door. It was freezing outside, so I was worried that she lost her way. I went over to my neighbor’s house across the street, and t wasn’t his. Because of the frigid temps, we took kitty in, and fed her, gave her water and a warm bed, in the downstairs bathroom, where she stayed for the night. Because I have 2 shih tzu pups, we couldn’t keep kitty, not to mention my hubby’s allergies. We fed her in the am, and then let her go outside once it warmed up.. she seemed to make her way down the street, and I am hoping to her house.  It was so funny though, as my pup, Gibson, sniffed every square inch of that bathroom and knew something was up!

Sunday we saw, Green Book, and I loved it. We went to a new theatre that has love seats and reclining chairs. Talk about making yourself at home!  It was such a touching movie. I had to wipe my tears throughout the film, it was so good.

There are quite a few I want to see before Awards season that has caught my eye

Now.. what else goes with Rock and Roll… jeans, right?

Royalty for Me Review

Royalty for Me is a new denim company, making various styles of jeans for ladies. These jeans are called Hyperstretch Skinny jeans, that they also carry in Missy Petite and Missy Plus. These jeans have a ton of stretch to form to your body, so they are comfortable. The material makeup is  70% Cotton/ 26% Nylon/ 4% Spandex, making them fitted. I am wearing a size 4, my usual jean size, in both of these pairs. -The jeans have faux front pockets ( so still carry that purse for your wallet) and have an inseam of 31 inches, which is fine for me to wear boots with.

The jeans do not feel like denim material, but more like a fitted skinny pant.  I chose the black and olive, as is there such a thing as too many black jeans or black pants for your wardrobe? The olive was out of stock when they planned on shipping, so they chose the tan pair ( TEA LEAF) for me. I would have liked that the company asked what replacement color  I would have liked instead, as I would have chosen a darker pair, such a Maroon to add to my closet, but I do like the fit of the current pair.

My Outfits

I am wearing the black hyperstretch skinny jean in this picture, with an emerald green top I purchased on Poshmark, under my BLACK UK cashmere poncho that was gifted to me  two Christmas’ ago. More color was added with my round Zara bag ( also a PM buy) and my Zara leopard booties.

My second outfit is a mix of neutrals with some color added by adding my favorite booties, a jacquard pair by Franco Sarto my hubby gave me for Christmas one year. Browns, cognac shades and black were styled and I added my Kendra Scott gold earrings to the mix. I am wearing the TEA LEAF hyperstretch jeans, and as they are a neutral, could par with any color. My suede jacket was a favorite buy from the Nordstrom sale tow years ago,  loved the color! My bag is from Rebecca Minkoff, one of my favorite bag designers, whose price points are reasonable for the quality.

If you are wearing jeans, you have to get that bum shot, do you not?

I hope to write a post on my favorite denim brands/style this spring. How about you, are you a fan of skinny jeans or stretch denim?

Have a wonderful day!

Jess xx

Being obsessed with jeans, I love those – especially the beige ones! I don’t actually own a pair of beige jeans. Hm… perhaps I should remedy that! I hope that poor kitty was ok but at least she had a good night’s sleep in your home.

Awww I hope kitty found his way back home and that’s so sweet of you to take him in even with your hubby’s allergies. The weather has been really taking a nose dive as of late so hopefully you guys are staying warm and cozy. I have never heard of Royalty Jeans. I love the sand color they sent you and it looks great on. I am a fan of skinny jeans but only if it has stretch. Love this saddle bag from RM. Her bags are my favorite and out of my collection I own 3 that is RM. I would like to get a belt bag but sadly her straps aren’t made shorter for my waist. Anyway, I hope your day is going well so far and happy Tuesday!

Jess, you look fantastic in jeans with your legs for days! Love that green bow top and both pair of booties. Hope the kitty found it’s way back home. But what a sweetie to take it in from the cold. As far as movie theaters, wish there was one near me like that. I’d be more inclined to go, especially if they served cocktails!

I love that you took in the cat for the night. It was -20 C and we had a massive snow storm yesterday. I hate to think about any pets or animals being outside in that.

I’ve heard good things about that movie. I want to go and watch The Favourite.

    Love the cape!

Jess, these jeans look fabulous on you and they look really quite comfortable. There really is no such thing as too many pairs of black jeans…I don’t have enough pairs actually. And the tan look really great, but I am with you, I prefer darker colored pants as well. But you styled them perfectly and I am totally swooning over both pairs of boots!

Aren’t those reclining seats the best? I only want to go to theaters that have them now but unfortunately the two that are closest to us don’t – womp, womp, womp.
