Turning Heads Linkup – Soft Surroundings- Romantic Chiffon Silk Tunic + Black Mules

Morning friends!

In my heart, I am a romantic. Yes I have fallen in love. With this tunic blouse. Soft Surroundings has hit it out of the park with this chiffon/silk tunic in a dusty rose color.

ramblings

Did you have alot of kids for Halloween night? We had a bad storm and only had about 30 kids come to our door. Hubby bought candy for over 200! So, I told him to hide the chocolate- out of sight, out of mind.. but first I would take all the kit kat bars out of the one bag! The doggies greeted the kids in their Ewok outfits and made a splash. I love teasing kids, so I asked the Ninja who came to our door “Could you show me a few Ninja move?” and he acted like he didn’t hear me! Lol.

I don’t know about you but Daylight Savings Time totally messes with my schedule and body clock! It messes with the doggies too as my boy stares at me at the same time he would have beforehand. Appointments happening this week as I head to the dentist after chipping my tooth on popcorn. Boy, I told my hubby I thought I could get away with nothing but a cleaning until Januaury, but my teeth had other things in mind. Geez, you think you could eat popcorn without something falling apart! Anyhoo… on to something much more exciting, clothes!

My Outfit

It really was love at first sight with this blouse. I loved the embroidery and the color, along with the high neckline and elastic at the wrist. Its light, but perfect for this time of year. I love pinks with greys, so I styled this top with my Old Navy Rockstar jeans and loved the combination.

These black Seychelle leather mules will be worn with much in my closet and I love the 2 inch heel and pointed toe, but spiced them up with lace socks to go with the textured blouse. The shoes also come in  tan and natural exotic colors.

This blouse was a part of the Fall Collection on Soft Surroundings and remains for the new Winter Collection now showing on the Soft Surroundings website. It is available in this Antique Red color ( what im wearing) a silver-grey, and blue shade.

I could see this blouse with a pair of slim fit plaid flat-front trousers as a feminine/masculine take, or certainly leggings – letting the top take center stage. For the Holidays, wear it with a pair of velvet leggings and heels.

How would you style this tunic from Soft Surroundings? Have you looked through their Winter line?

I love that soft pink blush shade.

We stopped giving out Halloween candy a few years back when I only got two kids coming to the door and we’d have this massive box of candy left over. This year I noticed that there were lots of kids out so we might do it again next year.

That’s too funny about the kid ignoring you. I can remeber people making us sing for our Halloween candy when I was a kid.

We were also dealing with a storm and I was at a friends house while our kids ran around the neighborhood. Only three groups came, it was so weird!
This tunic is absolutely beautiful and this color looks gorgeous on you!

I love that tunic top, it is romantic with the lace and the dusty rose color! Perfect with the gray denim. Oh gosh, chipped the back side of my front tooth (thank goodness it was the back side) on our Disney vacation and I always hate going to the dentist earlier than I need to!! Lol! It was a tooth I had work on (it was chipped in 2nd grade), but I had just had it redone so I was bummed about the chip from biting into a cannoli! Darn! But, it has held up good sense then. Good luck with yours!

This is a pretty romantic top. I can see it layered in pearls for the holidays. Ya know, I was pretty happy that there is a SS store close by, now, but they don’t currently seem to have a good stock–maybe they’re still gearing up for the holidays.

Positively gorgeous tunic! I really like how you have styled it with the grey pants and lacy socks. I am sorry hear about your tooth. Yikes! I was worried about not having many trick-or-treaters because the rain initially kept them away. It finally subsided and they came, but we didn’t see the numbers we normally do. Hope you have a great week, Jess!

There is nothing like a beautiful tunic. I can see this one being so versatile too. White jeans or black leggings, it will go with anything and elevate the look!
    Peace!

Love embroidery. And the color of that top is lucious. Am partial to those dusty shades. And gray is great option for pairing. I would wear this over leggings and tall boots. Gonna have to go check out SS latest collection.

Jess, this tunic is amazing! I absolutely love it and the way you styled it with skinny jeans and those adorable lace socks with your mules. Perfection! I am so sorry about your tooth. I sprained my jaw on nachos about 2 years ago and it literally took about 18 months to heal. It felt like I was biting a metal spike every time I tired to chew on the left side of my mouth. It was horrendous but there is no resting my jaw to let it heal properly…because, you know, I talk too much! We had terrible storms on Halloween night as well but that didn’t stop the kids. There were so many that I ran out of candy about 1.5 hours in.
