Turning Heads Linkup- Teddy Blake New York Handbags- The Ava

It’s no surprise that I was quite thrilled to collaborate with Teddy Blake, a Italian leather handbag company from New York. It is a luxury handbag that is affordable!

Teddy Blake Handbags

If you have been following the blog for a bit, you know I love handbags. ( and shoes, and dresses…. 🙂 ) Let’s stick to handbags for now.

I have a collection I love and was considering adding a new Spring bag this year. Along came Teddy Blake.

I do love a structured handbag, and the shape of the Ava called out to me. Sleek, clean lines and elegant, I knew it would be my choice of bag. You know one of my favorite bags is my Brahmin, which has a similar vintage shape and structure with top handle.

The Ava comes in 8 colors, and I initially was looking for a neutral camel bag. Since they were not available at the time, I chose this dark red. I love a pop of color.

The Ava, as many of the bags, comes in 9″, 11″ and 14″ inch. I chose the 14 inch, as I wanted a bigger bag.

These are premium handbags made in Italy ( yum, Italian leather) and utilize quality details from gold high-end hardware to strong stitching.

There are 14 different styles of bags– from the sleek, chic look of the Ava, to new styles like the Chiara and Sophia. I am sure that there is a style for everyone’s taste.

I did an “unboxing” of my bag on Instastories and was so pleased with the gorgeous packaging, box and dust bag it came with. I keep all of my handbags in dust bags, and it just shows you the quality of the bag as well.

From the website:
DESCRIPTION
Made In Italy
Stampatto Leather
Croco embossed leather with matching trim
Real suede interior
Gold toned hardware
9.6″h x 5″w x 14″l
Handle drop length: 3.4″
17″ to 23″ detachable/adjustable shoulder strap
I liked the addition of a shoulder strap if I needed that option. The interior is roomy and the exterior zip pocket is great for keys, makeup, just enabling extra space.
I told you I have a growing garden of florals in my closet, and I do love them. The pinks red and navy was the perfect dress for Spring and to complement the bag. I wore a white jacket from WHBM as this day was quite cold. My Chinese Laundry ecru sandals are worn quite often in the Spring.

Happenings

Well, since we are almost 3 weeks out from getting our second vaccine, I was able to get “beautified” with my mom, sister and niece yesterday at the nail salon. My toenails needed painted, and I would get both a gel pedicure and manicure. It has been some time since I had this! Over the weekend, I got my “Brooke Shield’s eyebrows” finally threaded and boy, there was some cleaning up to do!Can you say furry caterpillar! It felt good to take care of some of those things and spend time with my family.

I have lots of appointments set up this week, as it seems everyone seems to now be scheduling them, when they feel safer. It’s time for my yearly mammogram, that was postponed last year, and I need my eyes examined as well.

I am happy, yet, sad to report the bunnies have moved on from their digs. I was checking on the baby bunnies every day and it was a joy to me. Seems the seven little bunnies are out and about with mom. It doesn’t take her long to get them out of the house! lol

I have been eagerly awaiting this post and I have to say your Teddy Blake bag is gorgeous and I’m glad the nude was sold out, because the red is such a perfect color for you! It looks great with your summer dress. I go for my second vaccine on Wednesday and I’m a little nervous and ready to get it over with, so I can be fully vaccinated!!! I bet it is so nice to do some normal things again.

That’s a lovely red bag and it’s so nice with the floral dress! What a shame your appointments had to be postponed last year! it’s good you are able to have them now. I guess it was hard when the hospital system in the US was overwhelmed with everything 🙁

Thanks for the link up 🙂

Hope that your week is going well! We spent the public holiday yesterday exploring a park and trail we hadn’t been to before 🙂
