Turning Heads Linkup – Wearing Neutrals with White Jeans in Winter

White jeans with neutrals

Wearing white denim can be a nice change of pace in the Winter months. How do you style white jeans in the Winter?.

Wearing white jeans with neutrals

When wearing white jeans in the winter, neutrals are a great way to warm up the look.

Here I am styling my Levi white skinny jeans with one of my favorite velvet blazers in a mustard gold. Leopard print peeks out in a lace cami.

Another way to style white jeans is to wear a monochromatic look. Try a winter white or cream with your white jeans along with white/cream booties. This is a sophisticated way to style white as well.

Weekend Pick Me Ups

I know with Covid, it is the little pick me ups that can help lift our spirits a bit.

When I heard my friend and hair stylist was going to be out of commision for 3-4 months, due to a surgery, a was a bit nervous.

Nervous for her and surgery, and nervous as I haven’t colored my hair myself for awhile.

So, what’s a girl to do? I went on the Madison Reed website ( this is not sponsored) and chose several reds I liked. My hair after 7 weeks is a combo of red, white and grey.

I emailed my friend, and she picked a lighter copper golden red. As nervous as I was to do it, I did do my hair over the weekend, after I watched numerous videos on You Tube. You won’t see it until next week ( as these pics were done before) but I was quite pleasantly pleased!

Makeup-I bought some new makeup I would like to do a post about, but I will say I am back in love with Mac lipsticks. I never really fell “out of love” just went on a hiatus to try other brands. I always loved the color choices and bought 3 new shades as a treat! One of the ever popular neutrals is called Velvet Teddy.

You have such a classy sense of style. I recently tried coloring my hair at home too and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. This velvet jacket was a great poshmark find too! Great styling with your white jeans.

    Have a Wonderful Week!

I love your velvet jacket, it’s a beautiful colour and looks great with the leopard print top. I recently bought a velvet jacket in a smilar shade but haven’t worn it yet – I’ve been wondering what to wear it with…I’m going to try it with leopard print now! Hope you have a great weekend Jess!

I have been wearing some cream white dress pants to work this Winter. Itโ€™s been a first for me as I was always told the rule was not to wear white after Labor day. I think white looks great in the Winter as long as you wear warm tops and shoes.

I agree, I love white in the winter when paired with neutrals! Something about pairing it with neutrals makes it seem more toned down and less spring-y, I think. That jacket is fabulous too!

I firmly believe white pants/jeans should be worn year round! I rarely find any that I keep though (I struggle with my thighs and if the material is too see through). I adore how you styled this velvet blazer with the white jeans!

What a pretty combination. I keep reaching for my white pants now that I am over the whole no white after Labor Day BS. But they are sooo tight I can’t zip them. Waaaa. Thanks Covid.

On you winter white looks so sophisticated, but I’m not sure I could carry this off. However, I do love your styling Jess, in particular the velvet jacket is a wonderful golden colour that works so well with your hair. And talking of hair – I’ve never tried to colour mine at home either so I’ll be interested to see how that goes for you.

Lovely to catch up with you again!
    Cheers,
    Anna x

This color combo is one of my all time favorites! I’ve been coloring my own hair since I was 21. I have had my stylist do it but it is so easy for me after all these years I just do it myself. I bet yours is beautiful!
    Peace!

I colored my hair a couple times during the pandemic and I was really glad it turned out nicely. I would never try the highlights and lo lights I have on my own, though! I love that gold velvet jacket, so pretty with the ruffles!

I can’t wait to see how your hair turned out! I dyed my hair once in college to a dark brown and I don’t think I will do that again! Haha! I love pairing white with darker winter colors. It really makes them pop! That velvet cardigan is so pretty on you!

Such a great color combination on you.
You should have reached out to Madison Reed for a collaboration.,They would have loved to have worked with you! They have reached out to me but I don’t color my hair which would have been a disaster!

I have always love white jeans in the winter since they are too hot quickly once spring comes. I just wore them yesterday and I feel like they just look great with anything! I never tire of the possibilities.

Love this mix of mustard and white Jess. I can imagine how un-nerving it would be to have to choose a new hair colour. I’ve been using the same tint on my hair for years! xx

I wore white with neutrals over the weekend and just love the combo – I linked my post – sorry the pictures are sideways – darn IPhone!! Sure wish I could color my hair at home, it’s such a pain having to go to the salon. I haven’t been since Thanksgiving!

Jess, this is a gorgeous outfit! I really love your mustard velvet jacket. I just bought some hair dye myself but I am wary of doing it at home simply because it is getting so tedious the longer my hair gets. I need an all over color not just a root touch up and I can barely reach the back of my hair because it is so long! I have been dying my own hair for 30 years, but I do like to visit the salon once or twice a year for a proper cut and color. And since I can’t decide what to do, I keep wearing hats! Thanks so much for the feature, my friend. That was such a wonderful surprise! And the little happy surprises are what keep me going these days.

I haven’t colored my roots for month’s now, because here the hair dressers are closed, and it looks horrible. But I’m to scared to dye it myself. That white looks good. Especially with that gorgeous jacket!
