All white is one of my favorite looks for summer and a way to try and beat the heat with cooler fabrics too.

All White in the Heat

“The Heat is on”…..

So there has been heatwaves throughout the country, and we are more typical of what the heat is like at this time in NC. July- August and even through some of Sept, it is HOT! I don’t complain though, as I love it when the sun is out.

So, my outfit yesterday and today are styled neutrals, which I get in the mood to style if I have been wearing a fair amount of color recently. Its a great balance I think!

All of these items were shopped from my closet this week.  The capris with the eyelet at the hem are from Chicos a few years ago. They are a girlfriend style and quite comfortable. I then took my cream colored cami from Target’s New Day line, and am wearing it under my jacket. Cream and off-white can certainly be worn with white, it is all shades from the “family”. I bought this beautiful eyelet jacket from Nora, The Jacket Society as I loved the detail in addition to the style. Keeping it white, I am wearing my Zara strappy heels.

You could have worn another neutral with this, cognac, black sandals or espadrilles would work nicely, I just was in the mood to stick with white  One of my favorite  stylings is to wear gold jewelry with white. I think it is so fresh and stylish. The cognac bag just gives it that added warmth as well.

    I also get into that mood where I need to change it up with a neutral! For most people it’s the other way around…but leave it to us fashionistas to break the monotony of colour with a neutral! This is such a great outfit and you look wonderful! x

    That Nora and the Jacket Society have such pretty pieces. Ironically, I haven’t bought a jacket from them but two pretty tops.
    You look cool as a cucumber in your monochromatic outfit. I think eyelet is refreshing and light for summer, just by its very nature with
    the little cutouts. Love the big bag, too. What a pretty lane you are standing on for this photo shoot.

    Oh, I love an all white look anytime, but definitely in the summer! The bag is a perfect contrast and actually looks like it matches your hair in the photo! So it looks totally put together!     Jess, this is a great example of how an all white outfit can really sing even if it has no color. It’s all of the details in your pants, jacket, and shoes that add interest and pop. Stay cool.
