XCVI, a brand I knew from other bloggers, has a tag line “Fashion You Can Live in”. Aren’t you tired of the 2 piece lounge wear sets after a year of Covid? I am and I am always ready to wear stylish, comfortable clothing, this is where XCVI comes into view.
In 1996 ( Roman numeral- xcvi) Gita Zeltzer and her husband opened up a small boutique in Los Angeles, XCVI was born. She had begun thinking of ideas for XCVI in the 1990’s and “together with designer Lilia Gorodnitski, they manifested a shared vision: to develop wearable, breathable, movable clothing for women who believe in style, but also believe in comfort.”
It was important for Gita, who was a theatre actress, to be able to express her creativity in Fashion, but wanted to create clothing that was not considered “sloppy” or Ill-fitting. Casual did not have to mean boring! So, with this in mind, XCVI has been in business for over 20 years helping women find ” wearable, breathable, moveable clothing” that is also stylish and comfortable.
The Core Collection of XCVI
I knew when I saw XCVI on many fashion bloggers that the brand looked casual, comfortable and stylish!
I told my mom about them as well, as she dresses casually, but loves unique pieces, and XCVI has that design detail that makes them stand out!
I am wearing the Malanda Pant in white and you will be seeing other pieces from the CORE collection in white this Spring/Summer on the blog. I am wearing a small, which aligns with my usual size 4. Check the size chart to see what you would wear. They come in 20 different colors too!
- Stretch poplin – 98/2 Cotton/Spandex.
- Jersey – 92/8 Cotton/Spandex.
- 28.25″ inseam.
- Machine washable.
I just love the rouching detail on the front of the legs and the zip detail as well. These are pull on pants and they are comfy and have just a bit of stretch, as they are made of a poplin/spandex blend.
The CORE collection, is comprised of 10 KEY pieces, that can be worn mixed and matched with other tops, that form the basis of the Core wardrobe. There are 6 colors in the Core collection- white, beige, black, navy, olive and grey. I was sent various pieces in the optic white color which is perfect here during our hot NC. Summers! I love that XCVI is about having women take care of themselves and find joy and ease in dressing!
What I Also Love
” 5% of online sales from the CORE collection will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organization dedicated to building more joyful lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.”
Some Favorites – New Arrivals
The cut of this dress, and the fact that it is 100% linen, certainly caught my eye. I love the sea ( mermaid) blue and tan pattern as well.
This Gibbon Dress from XCVI is with details that I love, the ruching, the olive green color and the fit and flare style makes it eye-catching!
I love this color French Rose and think it would look amazing with the olive pants as well.
Here is French Rose in a pretty top that would look great with the white!
What Else I’m Wearing
It’s time to get resin flower earrings! I bought these from Baublebar last year and they do get their wear!
My “vaccine approved” cold-shoulder top is a field of poppies with a darling chiffon hem. I could use some longer tunic tops with some of the pieces, so I am looking at these.
The fun bow leather sneakers are from Zara years ago, and I always have people commented on how stylish they are.
My ZARA straw circle bag will be worn often throughout Spring and Summer as well.
