14 Nov Turning Heads Tuesday-BLACK-Houndstooth Cashmere Ring Shawl

Hello ladies

It seemed as though i was inspired to share more about me after Debbie of Fashion Fairydust,  mentioned that she had fun writing a post of this nature. If you haven’t read 22 Things About Me You Don’t Know, I’d love for you to give it a read so you can get to know me even better! It was fun to write and brought back some memories. I suppose I forgot to include that I a B.A. in Guitar Performance and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Ed, just in case you didn’t know 🙂

If you are a reader of EDS, than it is not a surprise, that Fashion is also my passion! Today, I have styled a look with a beautiful camel and cream hounds tooth cashmere ring shawl by BLACK.  I chose this shawl as I love the classic pattern and neutral shades and knew it would go with both of my winter coats.

A few weeks ago, I introduced you to this company out of the UK, BLACK. They are a family owned business and sell such wonderful Luxury accessories. You know this is the time of year to start thinking about Christmas presents. My mom has said to not buy her anything, that she doesn’t need anything, but we, as siblings, just ignore her! She’s our mom, c’mon!

So whether you are thinking of treating yourself to a soft and luxurious cashmere poncho or scarf, or are thinking of other people on your list.  Would this be something that they might not buy for themselves? A gift such as this might be considered similar to that warm hug for a friend every time she wears it.

In my last post, BLACK, Luxury Accessories, I mentioned that BLACK carries items for both men and women, from cashmere scarves, hats, gloves, as well as jewelry, ties, etc. Items are made from mohair, silk, cashmere, wool and leather. I am in love with the long leather gloves, talk about glamour!

I was thinking about my camel coat I received last year from Chadwicks. this is a classic pattern and a neutral that will go with any coat, any color. I also have a burgundy wrap coat from Banana Republic I’ve had for a few years. Now, the outfit is why I love dressing for Fall so much.

First, with this cashmere ring shawl,  you can’t help but keep cozy and warm, not to mention stylish! Next, I purchased this Anthropologie rust cable knit sweater dress on Poshmark and couldn’t wait to wear it. I have a bit of a sweater dress fascination. Its like wearing a warm blanket in public, plus the color is one of my favorites!  I added a sparkling gold vintage brooch to bring some sparkle to this look.

BLACK has an extensive collection of cashmere scarves, ring shawls  and oversized cashmere scarves in which to just envelope yourself!  Ahhh, picture wearing this, sitting by an outdoor fire and enjoying the brisk Fall air, surrounded by some friends. I will wear it more like a shawl, as i have pictured here, wrapped around my shoulders. It isn’t quite frigid here in NC until January or so when those extra layers, coat and scarf will be necessary! I used to always be cold, and when i worked my last job at a private school teaching music, I would sometimes have my coat on in class as they kept it cold in my room. I could have used a scarf like this then!

It is now that time of the year, looking for gifts for men and women,. The website has s GIFT SECTION for both men and women, and makes gift buying a bit easier. I am in love with these leather gloves, the woven style and Italian leather is eye catching, not to mention sophisticated. Make a statement with this roll neck poncho for your mom or sister.
