25 Jul Uncommon Goods Collaboration: Beautiful Brass Circle of Life Cuff and Butterfly Earrings
Happy Monday Ladies!
Ah. A bit of rest and relaxation was just what the doctor ordered! Back from vacation, and well rested, we had an amazing time at the Outer Banks. Much to the dismay of one of the workers at the Loft, we enjoyed bringing our pups to the pup friendly Bed and Breakfast in Manteo. ( lets just say there was some eye-rolling!) when I said we were taking our dogs on vacation with us. I will be sharing pictures from the trip tomorrow and telling you a bit about the Manteo/Outer Banks/Wanchese area in which we stayed, but today I am bringing you this wonderful collaboration with the company, “Uncommon Goods“ out of Brooklyn, NY. They are a company who focuses on creative design, supporting the artist community. With the generous selection of handmade jewelry that they carry, one is certainly bound to find something they love!
As I looked at the brass and sea green patina colored cuff, I could most certainly see this at the beach, paired with white, sea blue, other ocean colors. I received the cuff in a very timely manner, as when I got home, it was waiting there for me. I love unique or “uncommon” pieces, as you know, not the run-of-the-mill , churn them out by the thousand statement necklaces or other pieces of jewelry. I also love pieces with a history or story to them. I collect the vintage brooches for this reason, knowing they were worn by someone with an interesting story to tell, or an era that fascinates me. The fluttering butterfly cloud hoop earrings were a surprise gift! The delicate silver earrings were certainly my style and I loved the hoops in which they dangled. I was quite interested in perusing Uncommon Good’s jewelry, as I knew it would fit my style!
This beautiful “circle of life” piece is made of metal, brass, by Argentinian designer, Fernanda Sibilia, handcrafted in Latin American style, modern in its circular shapes and rounded completeness. From the website: “Wielding a hammer, she deftly bows sheets of metal into sinuous threads and gleaming rounds. She highlights subtle colors by electroplating select pieces with lustrous gold and copper, or letting the magic of oxidation give strands one-of-a-kind patinas that vary in hue from dark brown to creamy sea green.” This pieces caught my eye right away with the circular shape and elegance, as well as the blue-green tone, reminding me of the waves that continually reach the shore.
Uncommon Goods is a company that celebrates the artisan, as well as the stories that are behind them and their pieces. The name is very apropos as the items are uncommon and unique. They sell art in many forms: jewelry, art, household goods, unique gifts, as well as items for bath, decorative home decor, and more. “The founder, David Bolosky, had been inspired by visiting the Smithsonian Museum Craft show. He saw artists and customers who truly enjoyed both the artistry and connected with the designs. He wanted to make pieces accessible to people, even if it meant those were found at a great distance.” The culture, the story behind the pieces also fascinates me as well. If one has a celebration in the near future, or just looking for something special and unique, one can look to Uncommon Goods for something original. Here are some of my favorites:
- The Women’s Organizing 4 pack. Since I have travel on the brain, I thought these were great! Store those items shown in each bag.
- Chakra Bath Salts Set: Aromatherapy and Salts. Of course I would love this. I am all for bath salts and I use a diffuser, so 2 in one!
- Flower Stemmed Wine Glasses: It is no surprise I like my wine. These wine glasses are lovely and would be great for sipping some summer Sangria!
- This baby Mermaid tail was just too adorable! There are many fun and unique baby shower gifts as well.
Favorite Jewelry:
Mosaic Necklace: Brings some bright color to any outfit!
. Cerro Statement Necklace: Would certainly go with my bracelet, this beautiful metal patina colored necklace makes a statement.
I wanted to style the Swirling Circles Cuff with an all white look, very reminiscent of my time at the beach and the natural surrounding we experienced at Nags Head and Ocracoke Island. Wearing all white is very refreshing to me and reminds me of warm summer days. The bracelet lends itself to both casual and dressy wear. Along with the all white and then the sea green accent of the cuff, I am wearing wooden blue and brown earrings from Ernesto Barcelona. My hair had to be up as it is 97 degrees and only getting hotter this week!
My outfit details: Blouse: Ann Taylor, White denim Shorts: LOFT. Shoes: Clarks Artisan, Rebecca Minkoff Love Bag in Jungle, Earrings: C/O- Ernesto Barcelona, Swinging Circles Cuff: C/O Uncommon Goods . Butterfly Cloud Earrings: C/O Uncommon Goods.
The butterfly earrings were given as a surprise gift. The Swirling Circles Cuff was gifted for this post. All opinions are my own
Have a wonderful day,

Posted at 10:27h, 25 JulyI love that you went all white with the outfit and added color with the accessories!
Absolutely gorgeous!
As for taking the pups with you—-it’s almost easier than figuring out where to keep them while you’re gone, and making sure they’re happy! That’s why there are pet friendly places now—totally convenient!
