29 Sep Watercolor Forest Skirt
Happy Monday Ladies
There is nothing like a full skirt to make one feel ladylike, feminine. This skirt caught my eye with the impressionistic painting-like image of a forest in a mutlitude of colors. One could pick any of the colors to highlight, so I chose one of my favorite, purple to wear along with this painted skirt.
So, the two things that caught my eye to this skirt, were the colors and the impressionistic forest , as if Monet had taken his brush and painted the trees behind me a little later in the season. I saw many styling opportunities, and love the fullness of this skirt as well. I found through the back of my closet this dark purple blouse, which I felt brought out one of the more prominent colors in the skirt
The shoes are ( for sale in my closet) and are a 40s style grey with a feather design on the front. These were my favorite when I could wear heels this high. I did so, just for the sake of this look, and for the blog. I am 5 foot 9, so I remember my husband saying how tall I was when I used to wear heels, I would hover over 6 foot. I am just happy to be able to wear my kitten heels now, but like grey as a popular color for this fall..The clutch is actually a crossbody bag, by Treesje, a designer I was introduced to on The Purse Forum a while back i like the crinkled leather and the frills. Details can make a bag, and i love texture in bags! Last, I have been looking at different manicures and colors for fall, and as I mentioned I like purples and plums, this color, by Revlon Colorstay Gel, called out to me! Love purple nail polish!!
What is one of your favorite colors as we enter into fall? Are you loving burgundy, grey? Are you a full skirt kinda gal?
Have a great week,
