02 Sep Colorful Shell and White Espadrille Sneakers

Happy Labor Day friends!

This outfit could have easily been dressed up by a pair of barely-there strappy sandals and perhaps a clutch to wear out in the evening or for date night, but I wore it more casually with white denim shorts and espadrille sneakers.

I’ve been saying prayers to those living in the path of Hurrican Dorian. It seems it is quite unpredictable.

The Outfit

Upon looking at the blouse from Mango ( now on sale) I noticed that the colors were more pink and orange-red. The earrings a more blue red still add another shade of complementary color, but perhaps I would have chosen a more orange shade next time.

September is here and Fall is approaching, but it is still time to wear shorts in the South. We’ve had a bit cooler days, in the 80s, and I am just getting better after 8 days of trials and tribulations with my health.

This outfit post was taken a few weeks ago, so my hair is a bit lighter from the sun, as it always gets that golden hue each summer.

I love a large bold print and the halter necklace caught my eye, as it adds extra flair and elegance. I can see this being worn out to dinner with a pair of trousers and strappy heels. I do love to dress things up a bit even when part of the outfit is more casual. With the statement earrings and type of neckline, there is no need for a necklace. Keeping it simple works sometimes!

I love these espadrille sneakers, from Superga, made in Italy. Soft Surroundings gifted me these with several other pieces I am waiting on for Fall . They are very cushioned and the style would go with anything from t-shirt dresses, to shorts, jeans and other casual looks.

Weekend

How was your Labor Day weekend? We had one day where we visited the OMB Copper Brewery, a large outdoor space, and just one of the many breweries that have popped up in Charlotte over the last few years. I am not a beer drinker, I prefer my vino, but hubby loves all kind of beer.

My jam is the plethora of pups I see when we visit. I make my rounds asking each owner if I can meet their pooch. Yesterday, we saw a Burmese Mountain/Poodle pup, with wavy brown and white hair and the most adorable face. The owner was quite impressed I knew the breed!  I do stay up on my dog breeds!!

We also meet Ozzy, a fantastically furry Nakita, with a beautiful face. Marly, a girl poodle only 4 months old, did take to Gibson.

A gentleman in his mid 60’s was playing tunes on his Yamaha keyboard, you don’t often here out and about. I do love some Tom Petty, but my ears perked up when he played some Pink Floyd-I must be channeling Floyd as I have been playing “Wish You Were Here” on my Stratocaster guitar lately. It got even more interesting as he played his accordion and cowbells! You don’t see that every day!

So loving these Superga Espadrille sneakers! They are cushioned, comfortable and can be worn with many outfits.
