Workwear, Travel Wear, Anywhere with Franne Golde

Don’t you love clothes that can serve multiple purposes? Today I am sharing what I would call workwear, travel wear, or “anywhere” clothes by Franne Golde.

Workwear, Travel Wear and “Anywhere” Pieces from Franne Golde

You have seen me style Franne Golde  HERE and HERE on my reels and on the blog for a night out on the town.

I am going a bit batty with knowing what to pack for our 14 day trip to Italy, however, these Franne Golde pieces have my attention.

Mentioning her design of “The Magic Pant” in my last post and her desire to find the perfect pant, she did so with these pants!

I am wearing the Perfect Ponte pant, which is the perfect material with a stretch and a pull on waist. The pants, in regular are 31.75, almost my in seam of 32, so perfect to wear with a flat, sneaker or low heel.

I have a great fitted white button down, but not a black one. The Katharine button down is a weighty, jersey material and the perfect staple. Want to look polished, but stare into your closet? You could wear this top with a colorful scarf ( especially if you are fair skinned like i am) and some dark denim for Fall, put on a cute shoe and there you have it!  The button down is wrinkle-free and quite travel friendly!

I would consider both of these pieces to be great staples for your wardrobe. A pair of black pants ( that aren’t lounge wear or sweatpants), a black button down, and the third piece I am wearing here, the Ponte Black blazer.

The blazer is stretchy, has one button, and would make a great counterpart as I have shown here as a suit. What’s wonderful about all of these pieces is that they can be worn separately and look quite fashionable, giving you more styling options.

Streamlining my wardrobe is something I have been doing over the last several years, and I always ask myself, “How would I wear it?” , ” How many ways can I style it?” This gives you an idea if it is going to be one of those workhorse pieces in your closet.

The ponte pants and the blazer both come in navy as an alternative.

Wearing Black with Fair Skin or Lighter Skin Tones

Some people may think black with fair skin is too harsh of a color, however, there are a few tricks that can allow anyone with fairer skin to wear black.

  • Wear a warm tone near your face. I am a warm snakeskin scarf with brown tones. This draws the eye to the warmer shade.
  • A lipcolor can also be a warmer shade. I am wearing a red shade that is not cool, but another warm tone. Think of those Fall warm shades you can wear with a lipstick.
  • Jewelry -I prefer and love gold jewelry over silver for this reason as well. The warm gold hoops here also add to the warmth around the face.

It is funny, this year I have accumulated more black than other years!

Franne Golde’s Other Travel Friendly Pieces

Franne Golde has beautiful dresses, and I most likely will bring the Santorini Dress and wrap with me on my trip. A wonderful dress for travel, it will be in the 80s during the day and chilly at night, where the wrap will come in handy! One more week and we will be flying to Roma! I certainly will have blog posts to share upon returning.

Which pieces would you be interesting in trying? Which shoe choice would you go for?

Have a wonderful day!

I just love how you wore the scarf next to your face. Both looks are gorgeous Jess,

Thank you Jodie! When I wear a black, I do wear color near my face as it can be a bit stark next to my skin. These pieces are wonderful!
