A Dress for Thanksgiving Holiday

I am a dress girl.

There is no denying that.

The dress, always has been the most comfortable garment for me to wear, out of the house.

This midi dress first caught my eye on Mango, then I later bought it on Poshmark for less.

Its been kind of a long week with withdrawal, my brain is numb from tv watching and laying in bed. I have read as well, but it is tough to just deal with pain and the side effects. I may be rounding a corner, but last time I titrated it took 3 weeks . I am only going into week 2.

Mom and I played some games of Scrabble, and the challenge is there, as she is an avid reader. It was alot of fun though.

My room looks like a warehouse as boxed are piled on top of each other,  with one “giftee” remaining.

My Outfit

Just a little head’s up. I will be doing a giveaway tomorrow with a brand I have worked with for years. Stop by!

I loved the rust and black bold print of this dress. There is a romantic quality with the slight ruffle around the neck, the length of the dress and the hem at the bottom. I saw this awhile back on Mango, then it disappeared. I was able to find it on Poshmark and get it NWT from a seller for less.

I am all about wearing something loose and flowy for Thanksgiving. Although this may be a Thanksgiving like no other, I won’t be eating any Swanson Turkey dinner in a package? ! My mom, hubby and I have plans// for some yummy, tasty side dishes, and smoked turkey. Since there is a small group, we will typically buy smoked turkey for the occasion, or we would end up eating turkey for a month, if we bought a whole one!

I just want to be dressed up on Thanksgiving and comfortable! You don’t have to have one or the other.

I added a bit of masculine fun ( as it seems a theme this week!) with my SOFFT combat boots. The soft supple leather has made this boots among my favorite year after year. Combat boots are trending, I’ve always liked them.

See here, when I wore my combats with another floral dress.

Outfit

Dress from Mango – Poshmark ( This Mango dress has sim colors)

Combat boots- Sofft ( a few years old, similar style on SALE!)

It is perfect for Thanksgiving! Funny, I always put together a special outfit for Thanksgiving too, even though it’s always casual – it’s more fun that way!

Thank you Alexandra! I always enjoy dressing up for the Holdiays, even though we don’t have to! My hubby is more casually dressed. 🙂

A gorgeous dress, Jess! And I love the way you styled it. I’m sorry you are having to deal with chronic pain. It is so wearing, and it’s almost impossible to do anything else.

Hi Kim! Thank you! I am going to wear this on Thanksgiving, even though it will be just us and my mom . I have been in sweats and nightgowns too long with all of the surgery and withdrawal. Mmm, smoked turkey! Now to figure out the sides..
