11 Nov Masculine/Feminine Look for Fall – Dark Floral with Combat Boots
Morning friends!
Its all about a masculine-feminine look this week on the blog! If you like this dichotomy, I hope you fall in love with the outfits I will be showing you. You can take inspiration from the looks and ideas and try them yourself, as its just plain fun!
Dark Florals for Fall
My style has evolved over the years and I still love florals. For Fall, I have a few dark floral dresses I love to wear. So, you’ve got your floral dress ready to wear for Fall. Do you style it the same way most of the time? Try experimenting. Go for something different. I promise you there is no fashion police out to get us! LOL.
What fun about Fall, is that we get to layer and add textures and play more in our closets. I did buy this dress recently at Mango, but had in idea in mind of how I wanted to style it. Maybe the go-to would be black pumps. But just look at all of the colors in this dress. There are golds, reds, blues, greens, and blacks. Perhaps you have a long cardigan you want to wear with it. I love that!
I took out my moto jacket- It would look awesome with a red one but that is one I don’t own in my collection, so I went with a traditional black moto. The fun part was wearing my favorite combat boots. You then have a feminine-masculine style! I think this style appeals to me too, because, as you read in 15 Things You May Not Know About Me post, I was a real tomboy growing up, but also a girly girl.
The boots are from the Swedish brand, Sofft, and are at least 6 years old. They aren’t available now, but I really like these by Karl Lagerfield with the added embellishment.
Happenings
Well, I love to get out and do things on the weekend, so our weekend was about the sheepdog trials, more the border collies herding sheep- not actual sheepdogs. I am there! I love seeing the dogs In addition to this there are food and drink trucks and one of my favorite things to watch, the doggy water diving. The winner was a black lab named, John Snow, and was able to dive 7 feet in the air to catch the stick before hitting the water. I laughed to myself as I thought of my pups- Wouldn’t you pay to see Shih Tzus or Maltese do a water dive at 2-3 feet! My little ones aren’t even water fans as they stand frozen in the tub when I just give them a bath!
These pictures were taken next to one of our haunts, Cork and Cask. As the name describes, they have excellent wines and beer, along with some great eats for hubby and I. It was getting dark when we began taking pictures, I am not really fond of DST! I was thrilled, however, with the pretty red leaves on the trees and the Fall atmosphere. We went there after my dentist appt ( I need a crown ;-( ) and it was interesting smiling when half my face was numb!

Posted at 03:14h, 15 NovemberThis bit of styling is right up my street Jess. I love the mix of masculine and feminine as it’s something that I play with myself. The floral dress is divine on it’s own, but I do love how you’ve toughened it up with the moto jacket and chunky boots. Ten out of ten for this outfit my dear! You look wonderful. Have a super weekend xxx
