14 Jul A Walk in the Woods
Hope ya’ll had a lovely weekend. Today is mine and my husband’s 13th Anniversary! Hard to believe. When someone asks how long we have been married, we usually jokingly respond ” 13 years, but it feels like 30! ” This is only partially a joke. We dated for 3 years, so it has been 16 years, and he is my best friend too, so it feels like we have known each other longer. We actually met, in ECP, the Explorers Club of Pittsburgh, when I lived there for 32 years. I was dying to take their Rock Climbing Class, to learn to climb rock faces, and he also joined the class.
I am not known for my sense of direction, so I got lost and ended up late finding the place for the first meeting. There was this tall, dark and handsome guy coming down the stairs, dressed in black, looking very New Yorkish, in black pants, a black turtleneck, and black shoes, One thing, I wondered was, why did he have side burns? Should I tell him that the 70s called, and want their side burn back!! Nevertheless, we got to know each other in climbing class, where he belayed me while I was on the rock face. I figured, I better get to know this guy, if he is going to be the one keeping me up there and watching for my safety. The rest is HIstory….
So, I dedicate this post, representing the outdoors and all of the fun we had climibing Seneca Rock, the fun we continue to have camping, hiking, and doing other favorite outdoor past times to my husband., Roy. Happy Anniversary.
My outfit, I wanted to be neutral, as I have worn alot of color in the past few weeks. I love the look of the bardot off the shoulder top with both full skirts and pencil skirts. I added some interest with my leopard flats , my black metal earrings from Etsy, my blue quilted Kate Spade bag. Enjoy those colors and the colors in the flowers and all around.
