25 May Caite and Kyla – Etta Blouse with Cargo Pants
Hi friends
I know it is Memorial Day and I hope you are having some fun at home to celebrate.
This outfit today is not for the day, I usually save red, white and blue for the 4th of July outfits.
Today, is about this fabulous polysilk blouse from Caite and Kyla.
What’s Goin’On?
We may have a cookout on the deck today if we I feel up to it. I am titrating my dosage of pain medication that I have been on for 7 years, and boy, it is tough! The drug companies don’t often think of people getting off meds, as the dosages are not designed with this in mind. This drop for me is 50% and it is kicking my butt! Lots of side effects, increased muscle pain and insomnia. So, I have spent a few days in bed watching tv and reading here and there. . At least my pups are by my side.
My hubby spent the weekend driving to Pittsburgh to get my mom, as she was struggling to deal with this situation alone. She will be staying with us for awhile. I think hubby will need to recoup today after 16 hours of driving!
I’ve been enjoying some funny parodies and songs about Quarantine on You Tube . Michael Jackson would be proud!
My Outfit
You have seen this beautiful print before.
I wore it with this 3 tiered airy polysilk floral dress. ( read post) I have been looking to add some easy blouses to my closet, and since I loved this print, I chose this top. It has a button on the sleeve and tab to wear as a 3/4 blouse. I wore it buttoned and tied at the waist to give it a modern Springy vibe. You could certainly wear this top with light denim, and even darker denim in the Fall, due to the warm color palette. If you are a short’s wearer, I could see this blouse with a pair of denim shorts or tailored shorts in a neutral color. So versatility is key these days with the wardrobe!
From the site:
-Polysilk
-High neckline
-Longer sleeve with roll-tabs
-Vintage-inspired embroidery and a boho-chic original print
-Pullover
-Care instructions: Machine wash cold, lay flat
I love the kimono in the same print!
I have 3 pairs of these cargo pants from Loft.I loved the fit and style so much I bought them in 3 different colors. This camel brown shade is a wonderful neutral that will go with any color.
Since we are at home, you could wear this outfit with a pair of fashion sneakers for a more casual look.
These leather earrings are from Amazon, and boy are they light! This peachy teardrop style blended nicely with my outfit.
My little angel Gibson after being groomed recently! He is always at mommy’s side!
How might you style this blouse by Caite and Kyla for this season? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Posted at 17:23h, 27 MayJess, you find the cutest things! I love that floral blouse with the cargo pants. A great combo! Sorry you are having issues as you back off your medication. That is never easy, so do take care and give yourself permission to rest and relax as you ride it through.

Posted at 18:57h, 25 MayFirst off, I’m so glad your husband retrieved your mom. My mom lives alone too, so I get it. Fortunately, my mom is just 10 minutes away. We have been getting together once a week.
I love, love, love that top! So pretty! And fantastic on you! A wonderful outfit all around.
I’m sorry you are struggling with the decreasing dosage. Could you do a 25% decrease for awhile first?

Posted at 17:21h, 25 MayWhat a pretty top, Jess. I can see why you like it and that it will be versatile enough to wear over many seasons makes it even more attractive. The print is lovely. We had a cookout with our fam yesterday and today I had to watch my Grandson this morning and am trying to get laundry done to hang on the line as my dryer is currently not working. Sorry to hear you are struggling with the back off of the pain meds. I hope things will even out soon and that you will feel much better. – Amy

Posted at 10:13h, 25 MayThank you friend. Yes, it is tough. I am just trying to get through the potential 20 days of withdrawal. Yes, I am hoping she feels better with less anxiety being around us. Aw, I appreciate your comment. Hugs to you too!

Posted at 10:07h, 25 MayThank you Lisa! It really is so light, made of poly silk. I know what you mean. I don’t dress up every day, just a few times a week. It is a refreshing change, but I also wear my loungewear. I am with you too, on wanting things to change. Enjoy the day! xx
