6 Things to do in Charlotte this Spring
I thought it would be fun for me to think of some things I would like to do this Spring, here in Charlotte. I wrote this list thinking that there may be something similar in your hometown. I just love being outside, and dining al fresco when the weather is nicer and the sun is out.
Is making friendships at Midlife much different than other times of our life? I was thinking about this after coming home from the Influencers at Midlife Conference. Many of the topics we discussed were of importance to us in this stage in life, and I think this question is something I would love to hear your answers to myself!
This post is just a bit later than I intended, but its only the 4th of January and why not take a look back at 2018 and think about what goals I have for the upcoming year. The first week of the New Year brings promise and hope for better things in the upcoming year. A kind of Renaissance, or rebirth. I don't really make "resolutions" but rather reflect on the past year and see what I might want to change or reflect on the past year and what went well.
A quick post today to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Blessed Holiday and New Year. Im off to get my nails done with a friend, and then begin packing for Pittsburgh to spend time with family, as we leave early Sunday for an 8 hour drive to the Burg. I just wanted to give you a glimpse into my PJ Salvage, "Best in Show" PJs, as I wear these for two reasons, a) I can't resist doggies, and b) For my Dad, who loved the movie, "Best in Show". We all will be thinking of him this Christmas, and often.
Hi FriendsSugar cookies, fancy cocktails, chocolate. My mom used to make Buckeyes, those melt in your mouth, chocolately peanut butter balls of goodness. Hungry yet? I know all of these tasty confections can derail healthy habits, but I don't believe in depriving myself during the Holiday Season either. I have always loved baking cookies with my mom and enjoying them. I think balance is the best way to stay in shape during the season of sweet treats. So, moderation is key.
Hello Friends!Well by now, you have read about my little teddy bears, Gibson and Truffles. who are Shih Tzus aged 7 and 9 and the other loves of my life. I have always loved dogs, we had them growing up. There was Buttercup, a mixed bread, blond/tan mid sized pup, and Shadow, a tiny black little mixed breed who I fell in love with instantly when I was 7. I thought since there are so many of you with pets, it would be fun to put together a Gift Guide for your pets this time of year.
Hi friendsHappy Friday and almost December! Well, this week I got some wrapping done, presents are all bought, and I am making up puppy gift bags for all of my sibling's pets . One of the things I enjoy is being cozy and warm this time of year, whether it is thick and comfy robe, fuzzy slippers or flannel pjs. My dad had a fleece blanket that I have now, that is the Coveted Blanket in the house. My pups head straight for it in the morning, along by the fireplace. I've put together a gift guide for those on your list, who love to be cozy and comfy this time of year.
