25 Jul Charleston Trip Part II- 2023
i’m sharing the second part of our Charleston trip today on the blog.
If you missed yesterday’s post READ IT HERE.
Family and Beach Time
On the Schooner Pride Sailboat
My husband and I went on an 84 foot sailboat, the Schooner Pride. A wonderful sunset cruise, it was a 2 hour excursion where we just enjoyed the beautiful scenery and eye-catching sunset. When asked for volunteers to hoist the sail, I jumped into action. My job was to hoist the “peak” , one of the front sails. Something I have never done 🙂
High Cotton Restaurant
The Manager came over to us and gave us each a glass of champagne to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary. What a nice touch!
The SC Aquarium and Rehabilitation
Hubby took plenty of pictures, but only video of me touching the sting rays when we first arrived. They trim back the stinger, and do not sting the guests. So there was a round pool with numerous sting rays you could touch. They are so smooth and a bit slippery. Neat experience!
I have always loved aquariums and this was a beautiful one to see. They also rehabilitate wild life here and we got to see the turtles, baby hawk, and brilliant Bald Eagle that were rescued.
The little baby alligator was so fun to watch, as he kept his eye on this little boy that was at his eye level. The young boy would put his finger to the window and the alligator would open his mouth!
I hope you enjoyed my recap of our Charleston trip.
Have you ever visited Charleston?
Have a great day!

Posted at 21:01h, 25 JulyThank you for sharing your vacation in Charleston! It is on my bucket list of places to go, now even more so after seeing all the pictures from yesterday and today’s blogs. Especially liked the picture with the animal that lives in the conch shell. Never knew what they looked like! You looked beautiful, as always :).

Posted at 20:58h, 25 JulyHappy belated 22nd anniversary! And how thoughtful of the manager to bring you guys some champagne. It’s the little details, isn’t it? And that aquarium sounds like a lot of fun to go to. My son would love it and I am actually happy to hear that they rehabilitate many different animals there. I love that and cute but scary with the boy and the little alligator! Glad no fingers were hurt. Lol So glad you guys had such a great time!
