Closet Spring Wardrobe Classic-Trenchcoat

Hello friends,

I am still in PA visiting family, but wanted to share this classic staple for my spring closet. Hope you all have a great Memorial Day if you celebrate it.

As I have been looking at mixing and matching existing items in my closet, as well as purchasing a few new items here and there; I noticed one item I could use for my Spring Wardrobe. A classic- the trenchcoat. I have a collection of moto jackets as well as my trusty denim jacket, but what goes so well with the spring dresses I have in my closet? A trench!

I had one long ago in when I lived in Pittsburgh, a baby blue shorter trench from Nine West. I no longer have this, so I came across this one by Anthropologie on Poshmark. I loved the style and it was a steal! ( $45 )  The larger buttons and ruffled front, along with the sturdy collar and 3/4 length was calling to me. When I received it, I thought it looked brand new, and it is sturdy and make quite well. Im a happy camper! I enjoy shopping on-line and thrifting on Poshmark to find deals makes it a bit exciting. If you haven’t read my prior post on How to Shop at Poshmark, give it a read!

The trench is a classic item for your wardrobe, and truly makes anything your wearing look better. I feel like if I wore jeans and a tee, put on the trench, the look is amplified and stylish. There are plenty of styles out there from your more traditional tan  to blush pink or colored trenches. Ive put together some trench coats for you to check out if you are looking to add this classic look to your wardrobe.

Now, I hope I didn’t alarm anyone! I didn’t get my haircut short! Am a wearing it up for a change of pace, and realize that in a few months I will be wearing it up, ponytail or chignon as it has already hit the 90s!

I love the ruffles, the larger buttons and the doubled collar. The puffy 3/4 length sleeves are a great styling detail as well. I know I will get plenty of use from this trench and am a big fan of Athropologie, so this was a great find!

My favorite pair of leopard shoes- Rockport Total Motion with Adidas tech

I HOPE TO SEE YOU AT MY LINKUP- TURNING HEADS TUESDAY TOMORROW AT 1 AM EST. Even though I am out of town, the linkup will continue 🙂

Have a great day!

Jess xo

Love, love, love this whole look. Now you have me wanting to search Athropologie. I did get a trench for spring too, a Nanette Lepore-and although I got it on sale I couldn’t come close to what you did on Poshmark. The animal print, green and textured clutch just make this whole style perfection. Thank you for linking up for 1st Friday, Terri

I have bought quite a bit from them over the years on Poshmark. I look forward to seeing your trench coat as well, its a great item to have in the Spring closet. xx

Thank you Nicole! I have quite a few moto jackets and a jean jacket, but thought this would be great with all of the dresses I own. It really does look classy on people. xx

Jess, that is a very cute trench. I have a few of them, but nothing light colored and nothing with pretty ruffles like this one. I’m thinking I would like something in a lighter color. Guess I’ll have to do some searching! Thanks for sharing this. You always look fabulous! – Amy

Those ruffles really add some pizzazz to the coat, Jess! Maybe that’s why I usually don’t love a trench? Because they seem so boring! But you knew what you were doing when you snagged this one!

Thank you Jodie, that is what I liked about this too and the fact that it was 3/4 length. Another great PM find! 🙂 xx

I think this is one of the most stylish trenchcoats I ever seen! Of course I love the Burberry but the ruffles on this one are fantastic!
