Color Combo- Sage Green and Lilac

As I am looking toward Spring, I decided to pair this darker sage green blouse with a lilac floral scarf.

The Color Combo

Sage and lilac are such a beautiful combination. You can think of the flowers in your garden when you are pairing greens with other colors. Sage and blush are a very soft, romantic pairing as well

I first put together this outfit from my closet, as I find myself shopping my closet a bit more this season. After shooting this blog post, I began to look for examples and came across the pairing with a bride’s flower bouquet.

Lilac is a color that will be trending for Spring 2022 and was seen last year as well. And sage, is one of the colors of green. It has a grayish, silver tone. It is derived from a mix of yellowish green and color grey. So because sage has yellow to it, it is a warmer color.

It goes with lilac quite well as lilac also has undertones of grey.

Try pairing sage with pinks, purples, yellow, white, greys. These are just a few.

I chose the rest of my outfit to be neutral to let the palette mix of dark sage and lilac take center stage. My Zara tapastry bag is about 4 years old, but the print is Springy with a gold bee pin on the front. It also has these colors in the floral design.

Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! (if you celebrate). We went to Raylen Vineyards ( I shared on my IG stories) as they had a wine and truffle pairing. Everyone got a kick out of the fact that my girl’s name is “Truffles”! They paired a rose with a white chocolate rasberry truffle, a Petite Verdo with a caramel chocolate truffle and there were others. They are melt in your mouth!

I brought with me Valentine’s day dog treats (they were PB, Cream cheese and beets) and made my rounds at the Vineyard giving every dog a treat! I really enjoyed that. My pups got a few vday “cookies” from the dog bakery.

Had a great time as it was almost 70 degrees, we enjoyed the music and the treats!

The perfect week for such a romantic pairing. The softness of these two shades is what’s making it blend so well I think, if either of them had been stronger it may not have worked. Very clever! What a glorious day out.
