25 Sep Comfort, Style and Healthy Feet- Aetrex
Hello Ladies,
Boy, it seemed to me that last week flew by. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Before I get into talking about comfy shoes, I want to talk about the movie, “Mother!”we saw over the weekend. Well, first, it’s 2 hours of my life I won’t get back to play with Gibby and Truffy. 🙂 Second, since Darren Aronofsky, the writer and director is Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend, I think he asked if she would be in the film.and she didn’t want to turn him down. Wow, it was so “in your face” it felt like a 2 hour long metaphor. i understand symbolism and allegory. .Success and Fame vs. Family and Love. Oh well, you win some and you lose some! Note to self; check Rotten Tomatoes. 😉
.It is still pretty warm here in Charlotte, with a cool down hopefully, by the end of the month. With all of the hiking and walking we enjoy doing, especially in the Fall, I am introducing you today to a shoe brand for comfort, style and healthy feet called Aetrex.
By now, if you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that with my EDS, comfortable shoes are a must. In today’s society, it doesn’t mean they have to be the clunky chunky shoes of the past, where you sacrifice style for comfort.
Aetrex,- via their website- “Founded in 1946, Aetrex is one of the fastest growing companies in the footwear industry and is widely recognized as the global leader in comfort and wellness footwear products. The Aetrex mission is to create the healthiest shoes on the market today. Aetrex is also renowned for its over-the-counter Lynco Orthotics that are recognized as the #1 orthotic system on the market today. Recommended by doctors and pedorthists worldwide, Lynco Orthotics offer unsurpassed comfort, support and proper body alignment.”
At the end of the day, isn’t it nice to have a pair of shoes that you just enjoy wearing because your feet don’t hurt? Or is the first thing you do when you walk through the door is take your shoes off?
What makes your feet healthy? How do you choose a shoe that will keep your feet in comfort and enable you to live an active lifestyle? Aetrex offers iSTEP, a patented technology that tells you your pressure points, foot size, arch type in seconds, helping to choose the best shoe for your feet. Read more about iSTEP HERE.
When i looked at the selection, I was drawn to the combat boot style, as well as the details and style of the Naomi Mid-calf boot. I loved the “vintage inspired” style and the silver functional buttons. Details certainly attract me to shoes/boots. When I received them I was quite excited to try them on and the comfort was outstanding! I knew I would be taking these with me to my nephew’s wedding in Asheville to walk around town next month. When the weather gets colder i look forward to wearing them with my jeans and textured tights. The leather is soft and I like that mid-length as a different style.
Here are the details of the Naomi:
- Featuring the Aetrex “Healthy 3”
- Soft leather and fabric linings
- Rubber outsole for shock absorption & traction
- Soft leather uppers
- 1 ½” heel
The Healthy 3 is what stands out in making this a great boot. These factors are inside every Aetrex shoe.
- Lynco Arch Support– Proper alignment for your feet- from the ground up. All Aetrex footwear contain Lynco orthotics to align the feet and aid in avoiding foot, knee, back pain.
- Memory Foam– I sleep on it and know how cushioned and comfortable it is! Aetrex shoes contain a thick layer of memory foam.
- Anti-Microbial Technology -With Aegis® anti-microbial technology embedded in Aetrex footwear, it helps to maintain a clean and odor free area in the shoe. **credit website**

Posted at 21:23h, 26 SeptemberSo glad to know of this brand Jess! It sounds very well engineered and thought out, I, too, need comfortable shoes. I always wear rubber outsoles, and sometimes add them to shoes if they don’t come with.
I love the vintage style of the boots you are wearing. I also love your outfit. Thanks for sharing this! I will look into this!

Posted at 21:52h, 25 SeptemberI heard that Mother was terrible! It’s sad because I love Jennifer Lawrence. I don’t so scary movies so I wouldn’t have watched anyway, haha! On a positive, I love your dress, the color is beautiful on you!

Posted at 11:04h, 26 SeptemberThank you Brooke! Yes, it was dissapointing. i thought it was more of a thriller, but turned out to be a long allagory… quite ridiculous toward the end. xx

Posted at 11:06h, 26 SeptemberYes, Patti! i thought the movie was pretty bad! i wanted to give it a chance, but it was just ridiculous after awhile. i know it was trying to send a message, but I don’t have to be lambasted with it! Glad you liked the boots, they are very comfy! xx

Posted at 16:38h, 25 SeptemberGreat looking boots. I have never heard of this brand but will look into it. After several knee surgeries (and replacement), I never wear heels and look for nice flats and boots. I am very impressed with your sense of style and color.

Posted at 11:05h, 26 SeptemberHello Rebecca, thank you! I did love the button detail and the leather is very nice. I do appreciate your comment. do check them outxx

Posted at 11:10h, 25 SeptemberI really like those boots! The button detail is lovely and the mid calf height makes them very versatile. I’m always having to consider comfort now when buying shoes because of my painful bunions. I’d never heard of Aetrex before, I’ll pop over to the website for a look at the other styles.

Posted at 11:16h, 25 SeptemberThank you Emma! There was a pair of combat style boots i liked as my second choice, but i love that these say “vintage inspired” and had the button detail. Companies are now making footwear for comfort and style. it used to be if you wanted comfort, the shoes weren’t all that pretty. Glad its changed. Yes, i look forward to wearing these with tights 🙂 xx

Posted at 10:34h, 25 SeptemberHi Jess ! I love your clothes. All the styles and colors that you wear are so stylish and go so great together. The fall colors that you wear go so pretty with your red hair. I live in Michigan and we are up 1 or 2 degrees from 90 now so it’s hard to think of fall clothes.Have a great week and keep sending those stories and great photos. 😎🙋

Posted at 11:00h, 25 SeptemberHi Debbie! I appreciate your comments very much. Have a great day! xx
