28 Apr Mother’s Day Gift Ideas: From Gifts to Experiences

Mother’s Day is around the bend, and I am sharing some gifts and experiences for you to give Mom.

We all know that Moms deserve a special day. I am not a mom, but I can appreciate the work my mom had to go through with us 4 kids.

I have found some great gifts for mom if she is a fashionista, as well as some experiences you might want to plan to show her you care.

Fashion Finds for Mom

If your mom loves fashion- I have a few suggestions.

Bruno Magli

You have heard me talk about Bruno Magli, and the shoes are fantastic. Made in Italy, I shared this espadrille that can be worn all summer, or this chic leather sandal to dress up some looks as well. Clara SunWoo

I have several of these liquid leather jackets and they are wonderful. I love that they are a knit and don’t wrinkle, but look like leather. The shape is wonderful too, very flattering.

My mom loved my olive one, but this cobalt color is catching her eye.

Any of the Clara Sunwoo pieces I have shared are all wrinkle free, and cooler than linen or cotton, so you can wear them into the heat.
I’ll be testing them out in our North Carolina weather.

I did buy my Mom this top for Mother’s Day, as she wanted the wrinkle -free brand, and loves blue. She has a pair of white leggings or slim pants this would look great with.

Old Navy

I am impressed with Old Navy’s denim. I have found many that are like regular, substantial denim. Not alot of stretch, but enough for comfort.  If your mom loves jeans or you want to get her a Spring dress, they are having a sale right now.  

I know they have cute workout wear, but I have not tried it yet, so I can’t give a report!

Experiences

The older I get, the more I enjoy a day out to lunch, a weekend in the mountains, a spa day. Think about what your mom loves, what are her hobbies?

A few years ago, we bought my mom, Storyworth, which is a compilation of responses based upon your mom’s life and experiences, turned into a book. We look back on the memories, and she has those to cherish! ( I am not sponsored by the company, just wanted to share)

My mom loves musicals and will be down here in Charlotte for the Summer. My sister bought her tickets to see, Six, about Henry the Eighth’s wives.  Tickets to a play or musical would be a wonderful Mother’s Day gift if you mom enjoys theatre.

A Vineyard Day trip- We have over 100 Vineyard’s here, and many are gaining reputation. Take mom out to do some wine tasting and visiting how the wine is made. Dinner at a Vineyard would be a great gift, if she loves tasting or enjoying different wines.

A Cooking Class- My mom and Dad both cooked and enjoyed it. If your mom loves food and enjoys cooking, this would be a wondeful experience.

A Museum visit. My mom has been to the Met, I have not. I need to see more of New York, as my brother lives in Hoboken, and it would make a delightful trip. If your mom enjoys culture and finds museums the place to be, plan a day at a particular museum, and have lunch afterward talking about the art.

The classic SPA Day. Its always relaxing to get a facial, and perhaps mom would like her nails and toes done as well.

Maybe mom just wants a REST Day. Come over and cook dinner ( if you are local), watch a movie, and just spend time with Mom.
