12 Nov Cuffed Denim Is Hot Right Now
When I talked about “what is hot” right now, in yesterday’s post, I wrote about the color burgundy. Well it’s still a color I want to style, so we have a bit of it today as well.
First- I should say, I have enjoyed hosting “Turning Heads Tuesday” for 8 years! At the beginning there were loads of bloggers, we were trying to connect and enjoy each other’s blogs. Since there are less participants, and because my schedule is busy, I decided to “call it a day” on the THT. Instagram is time consuming, and I haven’t given up on that, so you can find me there, or here. I will continue to blog, when it is possible, so most likely Monday and Tuesday, with a 3rd post an option. So, thank you for being there for Turning Heads Tuesday, especially if you were there from the get go! I would love if you visited my blog, nonetheless, and would be happy to visit yours as well. I still enjoy reading blogs!
Now, on to…
Cuffed Jeans
Denim. Most people either love it or hate it. Well, I am in the middle there. I have found about 4 pairs lately, that meet my standards for softness and fit! I typically shop online as you know, but for these jeans and others I will share, I bought these at the store. Evereve. This post is not sponsored, but I love the store, and of course when I ran my hands on these Evereve cuffed denim, I knew they would be coming home with me. Soft and with some stretch, they are a bit slouchy, but the kind of fit I was looking for. They also come in a black wash.
I did initially buy the 26 (a size down) which fit well, but with my IBS, I chose to go with my regular size 27. I have room, and the comfort level is there. The material is what makes them soft with bamboo making them breathable and soft-
- Material: 49% Cotton, 24% Recycled Cotton, 20% Polyester, 6% Bamboo, 1% Spandex Denim
- Sustainable Practices: Made with 24% recycled cotton
Cuffed denim is big right now, and I loved the look from the get-go. One thing to keep in mind, is, are the cuffed sew into the seam? These are, so you don’t have to fuss with making the cuffs even. You do want to make sure the inseam hits where you want it to- either at the ankle or slightly lower, as in here. I want to wear these with heels, but find that they are casual enough of a style that you wear them with flats or some fun sneakers. These Wit & Wisdom jeans are under $100.
I have always loved burgundy, so for it to be a big color this year, I was excited. I am wearing a BLANKNYC burgundy suede moto I bought years ago at the Nordstrom sale . It is no longer on the site, but I have found a few similar ones for you.- HERE and HERE.
The silk scarf has colors of blue, mustard, rust, and burgundy in it and looks like some of the leaves on the trees at present.
My favorite Teddy Blake bag accents the burgundy shoes and jacket and with its texture adds another interesting element to the outfit. The exact bag is not available, but it does come in a smooth leather.
Mary Janes have made a resurgance, and I have had my eye on these “Gothic Red” mary janes by Franco Sarto. The whole look is “elevated casual with the accessories making their mark.
Have you tried cuffed denim? What brands have you tried?
Have a great day!

Posted at 19:08h, 13 NovemberI love these rich burgundy tones, and the jeans look fab on you! I’m sorry to hear that you’re calling time on the link up – yours was the first one I participated in! I totally understand though, the entries are dropping off with mine too. It’s hard to keep all the plates spinning!

Posted at 19:46h, 12 NovemberYou look stunning in this color, Jess! It’s just such a good color for you. I haven’t looked at cuffed jeans primarily because I’m only 5’1″ and would probably have to recuff them. I started blogging at the wrong time, I think! It seems most fashion bloggers are going to newsletters and Instagram these days. I like to write so I shall blog until I run out of things to say! And, I’ll be here reading your blog as long as you write it!
