Happy Monday. I don’t know about everyone here, but I am getting excited about the holidays. I am like a little kid when it comes to the holidays. The day after Thanksgiving is when we usually put up the tree.
Today I was in the mood, for pairing my wine faux skirt from Zara, with my vintage inspired burgundy rose sweater.
The Days of WIne and Roses is the name of a jazz standard, I am sure many of you are familiar with. You can listen to it here. I have recently spoke with one of the musicians in the wine bar we frequent and I am ready to get back into my jazz guitar playing.
It has been about 7 years since I picked it up, due to my illness, but I miss my music, and playing. He is a great guy, as he is an excellent jazz guitarist and we are planning on getting together to explore more jazz improvization. I am a swing and big band girl, as well as loving jazz standards. So, I look forward to, getting back into my music, as my blog is one of my creative outlets as well as music has always been.
With my outfit, for fall, I love rich colors, and this skirt came out from Zara, and I really had to have it!! It was sold out, then I bought it right when it came back in inventory. It has some brown undertones, but I really wanted to create a vintage look with my cardigan which I have had for years. My burgundy square toed heels add to that appeal. You all know I love a classic look with a vintage vibe. I could wear leather and faux leather all of the time, it is one of my favorite looks.
I hope you are all enjoying getting ready for the holidays, and look forward to Thanksgiving. We are visiting my sister in Charlotte, and I look forward to so good wine, family, and conversation.
Have a great week,
