11 Sep Effortless Elegance: An Easy Fall Fashion Formula
Want effortless elegance? I am sharing one of my easy Fall fashion formulas on the blog today.
Easy Fall Fashion Formula
You can look elegant in denim!
I am guessing you may just have something like this or may just need to look for one piece. If I see a look I appreciate, I go to my closet first to see if I can put it together. Don’t have a silk button down? This site is one of my favorites for such a top. This is not a sponsored post, I just love their products and how they eliminate the middleman. I am wearing this deep olive blouse, (I have another option for you, as this is a few years old,) and my Madewell high rise boy jeans. The cut on these is a straight leg, with a slightly looser style. I am wearing a 26 here in Madewell, where most of my jeans are 27. These are no longer available but have heard good things about these jeans. Longing for a smart leather belt, this Amsterdam Heritage one is made very well, and is worth every penny. After looking at different trouser and denim looks, the addition of a belt elevates the look as well. It’s leopard season! I love leopard print, but any textured or print shoe would do. Substitute it for a bootie if you do so, remember the pointed toe continues to lengthen the leg line. My bag is another Teddy Blake bag, and I was smitten with the olive green color and shape. As the weather chills, add a moto jacket or blazer for that third piece!
Here a look from a post awhile back, with me wearing this combination with the addition of a velvet blazer as my third piece
To keep the look modern, there are many new denim cuts to choose from. I think it is funny that we are wanting a modern look, but the 90’s jeans are making a resurgence! Here are some cuts that would serve you well day to day.
Happenings
Good Monday morning friends
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
Have you ever been to a rooftop bar? I’ve wanted to go , so over the weekend, my friend, my hubby and I ventured into Buho, an amazing Argentinian bar and restaurant. We had a wonderful view of Charlotte, and enjoyed a few cocktails, wine and some delectable food. Isn’t it funny that sometimes you just need to explore your own city? Charlotte and Lake Norman are growing substaintially, so there are many restaurants for us to try! I am not complaining!
Other options- One, Two, three
Silk button down ( a few years old) Option 1, Option 2
I found this photo ( Who What Wear photo credit) AFTER I had styled my outfit. See, instead of leopard print, snake print works as well. As the pattern, draws more interest to the eye.
Have you styled this combo yet? What is your go-to fashion formula?
Have a great day,
Jess xx

Posted at 06:05h, 11 SeptemberI love the simple yet classy look, Jess. I don’t actually have a silk button down but I could do with getting one or two because they look fab with jeans! That rooftop bar sounded fabulous!
