Good Morning Ladies!
I hope you had a great weekend in your “neck of the woods” and were able to enjoy the days
I wanted to style 2 outfits this week with Autumn colors, and this dress with its warm pumpkin hue was the choice for today.
Nothing like getting excited about the Fall season. I don’t want to jump the gun just yet though, so I thought, why not dress in a transitional way in Fall colors this week. I always loved Fall, it is my favorite season but the weather doesn’t change to be more Fall-like until the end of Oct/November.
My mom and I are looking to decorate the outside entrance with cloth pumpkins and a wreath we may DIY. I’ve got to scour the shops and also Pinterest for ideas.
Before I get into this outfit, how was your weekend? Did you do something different and fun? I know for us, I look forward to the weekend just for a change of atmosphere and scenery.
We went to our local hangout, where they seem to know us now. “Glad you’re back” said one of the ladies at Daveste Vineyards. It is a short 30 minute drive and we chose it as we weren’t quite sure of the weather. It turned out to be a cooler day with some sunshine peeking through the clouds. We packed a lunch and enjoyed their newly released Viognier, which is a favorite white wine of mine.
Sunday we went to brunch at Cotswald Station, a place near Midtown Charlotte and one that makes THE best veggie sandwich. I am a bit o a connosier where veggie sandwiches are concerned and this one called “The Ultimate Veggie Sandwich” lives up to its name!
now.. back to the outfit today.
Maybe this color is more pumpkin. If we played a game of Stream of Consciousness, when I say pumpkin, what would you say? Spice. Autumn? Anyhow, it is the color of my dress from Mango. I bought it last year with the intention of wearing it in different seasons.
I wore it HERE on this post, in the colder months, styled with booties. Today, i chose to mix some patterns and wear it now. The scarf is a floral pattern in black, olive and orange and I have paired it with my Express leopard clutch. The woven belt in mustard, olive and brown truly was a great match and was meant to be paired with this dress.
I chose larger gold hoop earrings and my favorite caramel colored croc patterend sandals also from Mango.
Have you tried mixing patterns in the Summer? Do you wear neck scarves in the Summer as a change of pace from necklaces?

August 31, 2020 at 10:07 amWhat a beautiful color regardless of what you call it! It looks amazing on you! I think I am finally getting ready for fall now that the weather is cooling down. But we have to get through this weird transitional period where we need summer clothes in the day time and winter clothes at night! Thanks for linking up with me!
