27 Oct Fun with Fur
Happy Monday Ladies
Hard to believe Halloween is this week, then the Holidays rush in. Well I have always been a fan of faux fur, and got this sweater years ago at Christmas time, even before the fur trend, I just love how fur makes me feel. Fur-Fabulous!
Hubby wanted me to show you the bright fall colors in his lunch. Love those sweet potato fries!
More of my favorite FUR. My Gibby’s girlfriend, who lives down the street, Sammy!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We spent time doing some usual things, running errands, my hubby interning my nephew in computers, going out for lunch and wine tasting. We had gone to one of our many enjoyable places to eat, this one , Firebirds. Their menu doesn’t change much, but it was time for a little comfort food. Add Pineapple martinis and it was a nice afternoon out.
I was in the mood for wearing faux fur, and as I mentioned, I have been a fan of it for such a long time, I have several jackets with fur, sweaters, and of course, fur stoles. Something about it that makes one feel just a bit more made up and glamorous! I wanted to combine some neutrals and some camel, so I paired this sweater with my mini camel skirt and booties in a pretty tan color. You all have influenced me into buying several pairs of booties for the season, and I am happy to just being able to wear a 1 inch heel on them. I would have worn possible a cable knit light tights with this outfit, but the sun was out, and it was warmer than initially scheduled.
Being right next to the mall, what is a girl to do?? I was just going in to 2 stores! And yes, that was all there was. The truth is,I much prefer shopping online, it works so much better for me and I like getting packages. I made my way to one of my favorite stores, Ann Taylor, and saw some very pretty clothes, and some things in which I have my eye on. I have long black skirts, printed black skirts, midi skirts in black, but I really needed another black pencil skirt. SO, I remained steadfast and bought 1 item. 40% off already marked down. You will see what I bought later on. Notice the difference between picture ONE and picture TWO. One is before mall, Two is after mall. Notice the expression on my face, that is exhaustion!
Fall is always a season for us that is busy. I love the cool air, the closeness to the Holidays, and the activities. In November, we will all be going to the Asheville Film Festival so I will have that to tell you about as well. Thank you for the lovely comments regarding the railroad trip and glad you enjoyed that as well.
Have a great week,
