A Gift from a Friend- Mint Lace Kimono

Good Morning Ladies!

Well, as we are winding down here in the Summer months, its always an interesting time for blog photos. Approaching September, some years it has remained 90 degrees, but yet the retailers are pulling out all of the Fall fashion mid summer. Today, I am wearing a more summery look as we dwindle down the remaining days.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent ours out and about, exploring some new places to eat and attending a Music festival at D9, a local brewery. As much as I have “tried” to like beer, I have come to the realization that I just don’t! Instead you can be sure they will have a paltry offering of wine there, usually your choice of “Red” or “White”, which is ok with me. I am pretty  easy going.

My blogger friend Shelbee, of Shelbee On the Edge, sent me this beautiful mint lace kimono in the mail. I was very surprised and taken with her generosity.  This was an example of  Just because. Wanting to make someone feel good. I really appreciated it.

I had a mesh mint top from Anthropologie that was the perfect matching top to go with this and I really saw this with a pair of white skinny jeans and my tan suede fringe clutch. My inner “boho” was let free! This was my first kimono and I doubt will be the last, as I really do enjoy the versatility of the piece as well as the style with jeans and other garments

Do you own a kimono and how do you style them?

See you tomorrow for MY WEEKLY LINKUP TURNING HEADS TUESDAY! AS ALWAYS THERE ARE OVER 120+ BLOGS TO PERUSE AND ENJOY.

Have a great day!

Jess xo

Hello Jess! I am a new reader of your blog, and just wanted to say what a lovely outfit this is! I also have a kimono, but mine is a bright red print, and after looking at the way you’ve styled yours it reminds me that it will make an excellent transition piece into warmer fall clothing. It makes a nice extra layer to go over of a sleeveless top.Thank you for sharing this with us!

Wow, the raw edged embellishments of the shirt mesh so well with the lace. This look is Boho but super romantic at the same time-love it.

Jodie, what a lovely outfit, I love my kimono but still haven’t worn it in the UK out of the house. I must before it’s the Fall! Love your boots as well. Great look. Suzi x (Alternative Ageing.)

Hi Suzi no problem! So glad you enjoyed this look. This was my first kimono and I really do love it. I wanted to wear it before Fall approached and it got to chilly here. Yes, do wear it! xx

I am so glad your inner bohemian has been released! I think I am going to show yet another kimono on my blog this Thursday. Because I have a bit of a kimono addiction.
