Happy 4th of July: Wearing my Red, White and Blue Karina Dress

Hello Everyone

Happy 4th of July! I thought since it is  a special holiday, and most likely many of you will be sitting with family, friends , perhaps cooking up burgers, food on the grill, I would show my patriotic nature by wearing  the traditional red white and blue colors. In the past, I have collaborated with Karina Dresses and this is one of their styles I am fond of . The Ruby , great for an hourglass or an inverted triangle, in my case. In addition to the navy, red, and blue paisley print, there is a bit of dark green in the color scheme. This more delicate necklace is a favorite by 1928.com, with a bit of a vintage vibe.

I went for the traditional red pedicure this time around. Gel pedicures at the salon will last me 2-3 months!

I did my own Gel nails using my own LED lamp, and GELISH red polish. It takes some time and practice, but it is fun as well!

We are enjoying the day as we sit on the deck, waiting to grill some vegetables ( add goat cheese), burgers, and for me, some grilled salmon. I have found a delicious White Sangria recipe, and thought I would share it with you.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 bottle white wine (I enjoy a dry so that it is not too sweet.. chardonnay or pinot grigio)
  • 1/3 c. orange or I use lemoncello liquor
  • ¼ c. peach Schnapps
  • 1 c. sliced strawberries
  • 1 peach, sliced

Put in refrigerator overnight, and the flavors of the fruit will come through when you enjoy the next day. Put in pitcher and serve with ice. So good!

Enjoy, contemplate what you appreciate and love  about this country, and celebrate with friends/family! Truffles my little girl, is very afraid of Fireworks, so we celebrate the Holiday at home with the pups.

Happy 4th Everyone!

Jess XO

This is such a pretty dress. I like that it has a little green in it, as sometimes, like Jodie said, red, white and blue seems too much all by itself. This is a dress you could wear anytime. Hope you had a great 4th as well. – Amy

I usually shy away from the red, white, blue combination because it almost seems too costumey to me. But this dress is definitely an exception—maybe because the print is floral and looks normal!!
    Great dress on you!!

I know what you mean Jodie! Me too. I think because of the fact it is paisly and has some green in it, the pattern appealed to me 🙂 Glad you like it and hope you had a lovely 4th! x
