06 Dec How to Look Fabulous in Winter White
Yes you can pair those cream or winter white sweaters or pants with white. Here are some tips on how to do so.
Winter White Look
We have said many times before that the rule for wearing white jeans after Labor Day is passe, and no longer followed by many fashionable ladies.
Winter white looks have always seemed quite chic and elegant to me, but you do need to know what type of fabrics are best this type of year, in order to create this look .
This really is not the time for those white linen pants, but a wonderful pair of white cotton denim jeans can serve you well. I am wearing my white Levi skinny jeans here, because, well, I like them! Fabrics such a cashmere or wool blends can be wonderful ways to wear a “Winter white” look.
Just as there are many different shade levels of white, ( did you ever try and pick whites at a paint store, yet to be overwhelmed by how many there are?) there are shades that look wonderful mixed together. They don’t have to be a perfect eggshell white! I am showing here that an Ecru or winter white works nicely with more of a traditional white. The sweater does the jobof warming up the look, especially if the person has fairer or lighter skin.
Here I have matched the warmth of my Mango sweater with my gold vintage chandelier earrings. I just love the combination of gold with whites, as it is a classy and sophisticated look.
For an additional neutral look, I am wearing Marc Fisher taupe suede booties I bought a few years ago, which add to this neutral look and also play off the browns in the LV bag.
I have linked sweaters, jeans and booties shown in this post to ones similar for you to shop below.
Texture will also make a Winter white look stand out. The puff sleeves and knit woven texture of this Mango sweater caught my eye and looks handmade. The eye will be drawn to the textured contrast in your look.
If you don’t care for white jeans, substitute a wonderful pair of flowy wide leg cream trousers. This would make a pretty Holiday look.
I’m still in the ‘Burg until we leave on Thursday. Had a great time with family!
I have styled this cream sweater before on the blog, in a dressier look for the Holidays HERE.
Are a fan of Winter White looks for the Holiday and beyond?

Posted at 14:47h, 07 DecemberThank you Alexandra. Yes, some ladies think the whites have to match perfectly, and a warmer white add warms to the face, so I go for the ecru shades.
