19 Nov How to Sparkle for the Holidays in Sequins
Good morning friends,
Are you a sparkle and shine kind of lady?
Do you enjoy wearing sequins or a special pair of earrings that catch the light just right?
Sequined garments are certainly trending big this Fall, and just in time for the Holiday season.
I have mentioned that sequins were one of the Fall trends of 2021 in THIS POST.
Sparkle and Shine
Maybe you are not one to wear sequins head to toe, like this outfit, but want to add a little sparkle for the Holidays.
I have you covered!
I found pieces that are outright sparkly or one with a pinch!
Perhaps you just add sparkle with your jewelry and are not one to wear sequins. I have found some lovely pieces that give off that “bella scintilla ” or beautiful sparkle, ( remember I am studying Italian) as well.
This party dress has just the perfect about of sparkle on the elegant balloon sleeves. Keep it elegant and add a pair of long dangling gold earrings.
Lots of sparkles in this lovely dress in a rose gold shade.
This skirt is under $25 and has a small side slit. Wearing a sequined skirt with a cami and black blazer can be a fun way to dress up the look for the Holidays. Or style this skirt with a beautiful sweater and gold/silver jewelry.
A great rich red sequined top can dress up a pair of slacks or if you go more casual for the Holidays, a pair of dark denim jeans. Add some sparkly gold jewelry and there you have it!
This pretty blouse with the blosson sleeves and sequins would look great with a pair of high rise jeans, as the top is shorter. I do love the champagne color. You could also pair it with a high waisted pencil skirt or some high rise trousers.
Many ladies love leggings! I have shared my faux leather Spanx leggings on the blog this season, but for the Holidays, why not a pair of sequined leggings? Wear a tailored white tunic blouse over these with some dangling jeweled earrings for a sophisticated look. Or pair them with a long sweater tunic in an emerald green, cream or rich red.
This off white sequined slip dress is $50 and can be styled in many ways. For the Holidays, add a tailored blazer, or keep it simple as is, with a beaded bag and some stand out jewelry! I would wear this for sure!
This black sequined blouse is a great price at $20 and will dress up the denim if you are going casual this year .Really, sequins don’t have to be “saved” for just Christmas, but this would be quite a modern look with pair of dark, black or dark grey or colored jeans( a burgundy ) with a wonderful slip on shoe. ( I am picturing velvet mules!) If you are looking to dress up your look with this top, it would be very elegant with a pair of cream or off white trousers.
Another pair of sequined pants, but these are flared. Very Saturday Night Fever, am I right? Now, if you feel bold and want that head to toe sequined look, you could pair the cream blouse ( #5 pic) with these flared pants. It really could be quite festive! If that is too much sequins for you, pair it with a gorgeous cashmere sweater in a Holiday shade ( green, reds, berries, etc) and a neutral shoe.
I’ve included these pretty emerald green sparkly earrings that may be just the sparkle you are looking for.

Posted at 21:20h, 21 NovemberBeautiful! I’ve never worn sequins, but I love to see them on those who do!
So a side-note: I’ve been seeing a physical therapist / therapeutic masseuse for myofascial release. She told me that my joints are loose and my muscle tone is low reminding her of the babies she used to work with that had Ehlers-Danlos. Hmmmm. I’m not really sure how to proceed.

Posted at 04:45h, 19 NovemberI have a pair of sequin leggings I bought a few years ago – I love wearing them! They are so festive and fun. Sequins are a favorite but always snag my hair. You found some great sparkly pieces.
