JORD Collaboration+ Giveaway: Fall Styling My Watch with a Walk in the Woods

IMG_8909

Hello Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. The above quote I thought was quite fitting, for my life,  although I today, I will not be getting philosophical, perhaps just reflective. This weekend we took the pups to South Mountain, a beautiful mountain area north of Lake Norman, where we live. Waterfalls, breathtaking views awaited us, along with a tasty picnic lunch.

What I love about Fall, of course the fashion, and also the cool temps and fresh air. I am also a fan of hiking and camping. Being in nature is one of the most calming and relaxing things I love to do. I think it all stems back from my Girl Scout days. There are so many gorgeous mountain areas and state parks in North Carolina, one must take advantage of the waterfalls, the scenery and treks. When I walk in the woods, there is a calm peacefulness, no worries or concerns for that moment, other than to enjoy my surroundings.

I enjoy the community of campers. People are friendly, walking around the site, the smell of firewood and campfire is one of my favorite scents.  We still make S’mores. I wanted to share some of this favorite pastime with you and also share how I think JORD wooden watches are perfect for this setting. There is a beauty, a love of natural wood, shape and style in a JORD watch. It is a unique watch, but again, nature takes the forefront in this wooden watch. I loved the smaller wristband on this Frankie 35 Series, Zebrawood and Champagne watch, added to my collection.

I decided to style this look with some feminine touches with the cream, off the shoulder lace top, my chiffon blush toned  rose textured cardigan ,olive cargo pants, JORD watch, , as my tribute to nature’s beauty.  I also took out my “nod to Fall” with these distressed vintage looking brown ankle booties that remind me of something out of the 1900s. I thought they brought a sense of masculine to my feminine  look. The combination of olive and blush is one that I love and a great transition to Fall.

This is another watch added to my JORD collection and the Champagne and gold interface of the watch is beautiful, unique feature. The Frankie style is made in both men’s and women’s watches, and let’s face it , your friends will think it is a cool watch! I often get asked where I bought my wooden watch. Check out the men’s watches here.
